Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  To some people the Mona Lisa painting is very nice.  Yet to some, like me, I can’t see what is so pretty about Mona Lisa.  Just like this tower of cans, to some it may be an eyesore.  I will explain more of it in this blog.

The Fargo Theater is a historical landmark that had been around for over 100 years.  I’m glad that the historical society made it into a landmark and fix it up.  I’ve got fond memories of it.  I remember as a kid from the West Fargo’s school system.  We had season tickets to see matinee movies every Saturday.  I also remember the old popcorn stand that stood outside the theater.  The elderly gentlemen had the best popcorn ever.  You couldn’t get popcorn as good as you did back then.

Fargo had a lot of historical building but most of them were torn down or burned down.

When I went to Indianapolis, I saw that they did lots of works to make used of their historic buildings; instead of tearing them down.

I have to admit, thanks to Doug Burgum, he has been busy restoring these old historic buildings.  That was one of the reason I voted for him to be Governor of North Dakota.

Since they have been at work fixing up downtown Fargo, it starting to look very nice.  Even NDSU had done some great things to spruce up the old historic buildings.         Even though it looking very nice downtown, the cost of living had raised also.  Things are expensive now.  I guess that is the price you get to restore Fargo’s history.

Some buildings shouldn’t be restored though.  The old Cass County Jail and most recently, the old abortion clinic are two prime examples.  They were eyesores.

The old Church United building in Moorhead across from the Moorhead library also needed to be torn down.  But first they needed to find a new home.  There was a big argument on where to put it.  The elites didn’t want Church United at the old Plunketts building.  They felt that it would deterred people coming into Moorhead on the east side.  My question to them: where are you going to put them?

Then again if the elites had their ways, they would also eliminate trailer courts as well.  When I say the elites, I also means the 1% group.  Not everyone can afford a house. They too want to lives the American dreams; so a trailer is the next best thing.

Now to explain that picture at the beginning of this blog.

This is a tower of cans that  stood in Casselton, ND.  It’s a historical landmark.  It’s a part of history, like the buffalo in Jamestown, ND and Paul Bunyun and Babe in Bemidi, MN.

It’s also has a special place in my heart as well.  My Uncle John Heger helped build that tower of cans.

It was torn down in 2012, the same year my mother had passed away.  The elites felt that it was an eyesore, and needed to be torn down.  Not only is it  torn down; but also my mother, her brothers and sisters are all gone now.  It’s just my generation left.  The only memory we have of it is pictures.

Since my grandfather had drank away his money and property, that was the only things that Casselton had to remember the Heger’s family.  We weren’t in politics like the Sinners.  So this hurts to see that the elites only care about themselves.

It’s like the Viking’s ship that is home in Moorhead, MN.  It was built in Hawley.  It should had been returned there after he sailed to Norway.  My great Uncle John Arneson helped build that ship.  Once again memory for my family.

As you have heard in the news lately, the  people are wondering what to do with the old State Hospital in Fergus Falls, MN.  It’s a historical landmark.

The old State Hospital in Jamestown, they turned that into a minimum security.  That was an easy decision.  The one in Fergus Falls is more difficult.

It looks very nice but yet creepy.  The reason for the creepiness was for what it was used for.  I don’t think I need to go into that whole reason because that is a whole different blog.

That State Hospital reminds me of the hotel in the great movie, “Shining”, starring Jack Nichalson.

Fergus Falls isn’t a big city; so they probably cannot afford the upkeeps, compare to say Fargo or some bigger city.

If someone likes Doug Burgum can come up with a plan to save that place; it could become a wonderful tourist site.  It could bring incomes to Fergus Falls and the State of Minnesota.

It’s good to see that finally people are fixing up these old historic building; instead of tearing them down.  At the same times, it hurts that the elite(1%) people are so selfish that they would rather get rid of any eyesores that try to fix them up.

That tower of cans could had been fix up.  It could had been a tourist site.  It was just off the interstate.  Casselton and North Dakota both could had prosper over it.  Then my family legacy could had lived on.

There are reasons why people drink.  There are people who shouldn’t drink at all.  I have nothing against having a drink, if you can handle it.

There are people who drinks to have a good time.  They are your social drinkers and they can usually handle their alcohol.

Back in my younger days, I was known as a  party animal.  I could party with the best of them.  I knew where the party was and you can be darn sure you can find me there.  I would drink to have fun.

Those are the kinds of people you wants to be around.  They don’t cause anyone any trouble.

There are people who gets very emotional when they drink and would blurt out, “I love you, man.”  Those kinds of people can make a person rather nervous.

The worst kinds of drinkers are the kind that is looking for trouble.  They are looking to start a fight.  They are willing to kick anybody’s butt.

I don’t like being around those type of people.  They scare the hell out of me.

The best kinds of drinkers are the kind that is only after a good time.  They don’t want to cause anyone any trouble.

Let us get into the reason why people drinks besides to have a good time.

There are people who drinks because of their jobs.  Some jobs are so stressful.  They are upset with their jobs, employers, etc.  I have to admit, working at Kmart the last while, cause me to have a drink after work.  Especially, if I’m not working at the Fargo Dome.  My sanity is kept while I’m working at the Fargo Dome.  Whereas Kmart takes it away.

There are people who drinks after a breakup.  Bartenders are another go to counselor, without the practicing license.  Plus a bartender doesn’t judge you for drinking, like some pastors.

There are people who drinks to cope with things.  Not just with breakup or their jobs.  Sometimes they drinks because of their families, their spouse, coping with depression, dealing with death in the family, etc.  These people are true alcoholics.  They need help.  They are constantly looking for trouble and looking for a fight.  Some will use alcohol as a tool to help them loosen up.

I grew up in an alcoholic home.  My step-dad was big on whiskey and brandy(the hard stuff).  He had issues that he should had dealt with but never did.  It became apparent when he was ordered to quit drinking by my mother.  Before that happened, he got violent and the next day, my mother threatened to file for divorce if he didn’t quit drinking.  He quit drinking but he was still a dry drunk.

I have a brother with mental illness that also drinks very heavily.  Because of his mental illness, he shouldn’t drink at all.  He gets violent and looking for a fight.  At the same time, the people he hangs out with are very much likely to take advantage of his good nature.

The last few years, his drinking had become worst.  It’s like he is drinking to cope with all the deaths in our family.  Every time someone in the family died, he would get drunk to cope.

One Christmas, he got drunk after our one sister died of cancer.  He was so angry with dad.  Alcohol was his go to tool to help him say what he needed to say.  He ruined Christmas that year for the family.  Nobody wanted him around anymore.  He was looking for a fight.

Then after mom died, he drank some more.  When dad died, he even drank more.  When our one brother died about a year after dad died, he came to the funeral drinking.

It’s almost like he is drinking himself to death.  He can’t handle all these deaths.

Some people would say the family should get him treatment.  This is what I say to that.

You can’t force people into treatment.  They’ll go but they won’t get anything out of it.  They can play the game and lie their way through treatment.  That is why I am against court ordering people into treatment.  A person got to want to get the help.

This brother doesn’t see himself having any problems.

I think the reason why my step-dad quit drinking was because he was scared of losing a good thing he had with my mother.  He also knew that my mother could had taken him to the cleaners.  Even though he never got the help.

Some people are too far gone for any help at all.

My grandfather was also an alcoholic.  Just before he was killed by a train, he did quit drinking.  He tried to win back my grandmother, who filed for divorce.  She wouldn’t take him back though.  I think that was why he committed suicide.  He had an ear that he couldn’t hear very well out of and the other ear he had it covered up; so he wouldn’t hear the train coming.

I had an uncle who was a chipped off the old block.  He even had my grandfather’s name.  He passed that alcoholism down to his sons.  Some of them even got into drugs as well.  Some people thinks that his sons were out of line at his funeral when they spoke out against him.  That was their way of dealing with the hurt, that, and drinking.

Some people may think that I have a drinking problem.  Just because I have a drink after work to calms my nerves after a stressful day.

I’m here to tell you, I have no problems drinking at all.  I’m not here to judge those who do have a drinking problem.

Some of these so-called Christians shouldn’t judge people for their drinking.  Instead they should offer a person help and pray for them.

Even Ernest Hemingway had a drinking problem.  He drank while  writing his novels.

I raise my glass to those who can drink to have a good time.  My heart goes out to those who drinks to cope with life.

On a hot summer day, a cold beer taste good.  Put a cold drink in my hands.

If you can handle a drink just by having fun, more power to you.  But if you have a problem with drinking, maybe you shouldn’t do it.  If you are the kind of person that needs a drink to cope with things; and you become a mean drunk because of it.  Maybe you shouldn’t drink at all.  Having a drink after a stressful day at work isn’t bad.  It’s when you abuse it and become totally abusive or is trying to kill yourself with alcohol; that is when it becomes a problem.

There is a big push right now to raise minimum wage up to $15/hour.  This is a good idea on paper.  There is just a huge problem here.

If the government raise minimum wage, employers will just cut back on help and work with a skeleton crew.  This is what happened in Washington State when they raise minimum wage to $15/hour.

Business owner would rather work with less people and treat the workers they have like slaves.

It’s called greed.  Greed is very much prominent in today’s society right now.  Greed and entitlement are one and the same.

Another thing, you can’t force someone to do things they don’t want to do.  We have what is known as free will.  If you raise minimum wage, you will raise unemployment as well.

The same time, small business owner cannot afford to abide by raising minimum wage.  Big corporation is running them out of business.

The big corporation can afford to give raises but they are succumb to greed, and refuse.

Years ago business owners took better care of their employees.  People had big family and yet was able to survive.  Every year, there would be Christmas bonuses or ham or turkey given.  Now days you be lucky if you still have a job.

Most recently, when the year-end profits were up, thanks to part of the new tax plan.  The only appreciation you got was a piece of paper and a “I appreciate you.”  That is not genuine.

When sales were up for the 4th quarter for Kmart/Sears, the CEO, Eddie Lambert got a nice little bonus; which he doesn’t need.  The workers who help make the sales should got the bonus.

There are other businesses who did the same things.

When Sam Walton was starting out, he didn’t expect Walmart to grow as big as they are right now.  It was his kids who made Walmart the global retail store.  Sam Walton took good care of his employees.  His kids, only looked out for themselves.

Last week I also mentioned people who feels that they are entitled to the government help.  I said that the Government wants to keep them on the system.  There is also people who wants to stay on the system as well.  They want their money for nothing.  They don’t really want to work.  They wants that free money.

What they doesn’t seems to get, us taxpayers are paying for it.

Most recently in the news, Paul Ryan announced that he will not seek another term.  That is good news!  It good to see Pres. Trump cleaning up the swamp in Washington.  When John McCain found out that he had terminal cancer, he should had step down to spend it with his family.  That greed keeps him in the Senate.

Now we just need to get rid of Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, Mitch McConnell, and his buddy, North Dakota own, Senator John Hoeven.  McConnell been in Washington so long that he is out of touch with the American people.  Hoeven only votes with his buddy McConnell.  He doesn’t vote for the people of North Dakota.  His wife, Mikey, said, “You know who I am?”  I have no respect for Hoeven.  His wife is part of that entitlement group.  She wants special treatment, just because she is a Senator’s wife.  I don’t care if some say that he is a Christian.  He is a hypocrite in my book and his wife too.

They needs term limits for our senators and congressmen.  It will take away the power and the entitlement they feel they have.  They don’t make much money otherwise. It’s the payback from big lobbyist that helps them afford more than one mansions in more than one states.

I know that there have to be lobbyist to speak for the American people.  It just that some of these lobbyist are so rich that they can afford to bribe our politicians.  Our politicians are being bought for a price.  There are lobbyist that cannot afford to buy politicians off.  Those are the ones that are being ignored.

According to the Constitution, our politicians were not to make a career out of being Washington.  They were to serve their terms and go back home.  Since they are succumb to greed, they choose to stay in Washington until the people wise up and vote them out.  They are being bought off.

There are people who may hate Pres. Trump because they feels that he represents the rich.  One thing about Trump he doesn’t need to be bought off.  He doesn’t owe anybody.

If we had term limits, those like I mentioned and others like Colin Peterson, term will finally be over.  Yet at the same time, if they limit the bribe that is being taking place by big corporation and oil company.

Because of greed, people can be bought with a price.

This is one of the reason why Ed Shaffer choose not to run for Senate when asked.  Greed affects people moral values.  Politics can be dirty business. Sometimes when you vote, you have to take a shower afterward; because you feel so slimy.  It’s hard for a Christian to be involved in politics.

Back to the idea of raising minimum wage, business owner should be willing to give there employees a decent wage, if they truly appreciate their employees.  There is jobs that do the right things and give better wages.  They can be hard to get though.

When you hear someone in a store or gets an invitation to sign up for a credit card to get money back, be careful.  Nothing is free!  There is always a catch.  As I heard a lot growing up, “Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

When you use that credit card, the interest rate can be very high if you don’t keep up with the payment and overspend on it.  You are paying for that free stuff that they are offering you.

Some people should not have credit cards.  Those who have a gambling problem for example.

What about a reward to those who pays cash for things they buy?  Shouldn’t they be rewarded?

That is what is wrong with the world today!  Everyone feels the need to charge it.  They just whip out the old credit card and pay later.  In the old days, people either saved up for an item they want or they put it on lay away.  I believe this is one of the reason why young people cannot afford to save.  It’s the huge credit card debt that they accumulated. And of course, the credit card company does let them keep on charging, raising their interest rate.

The entitlement believe that they deserve special treatment or financial gain. The entitlement isn’t just the millennium.  They are all kinds of people.  They are even some people older or my age who feels that they are entitled.  Even some foreigners thinks that they are entitled.  So it’s not an age or race thing.  It’s not even the rich thinking they deserve special treatment just because who they are.  Some poor/working class people feels that way also.

The Socialist and the millennium wants free education.  Who will pay for that free education?  Someone got to pay for it.

It’s the taxpayers who will pay for all the free stuff that the government try to sell to the American people.

Believe me, our healthcare through Obamacare isn’t free.  The idea for being penalize for not having insurance proves it.

If you think that the government will help you, I got news for you.

Yet in our selfish culture, the poor are often despised, locked out of equal access and opportunity, and kept poor by the governmental systems that make it more profitable to abandon the family rather than reunite it.

In other words, the government wants to keeps the poor, poor and uneducated.  By doing that they can easily control them by manipulating them.  Hillary Clinton even admitted this herself, when she said that the American people are too stupid to take care of themselves.  They needs the government to do that for them.

She was sure surprised though after the election.  She called us “rednecks”  for voting for Trump.  Well, I may be a redneck, and I’m proud of it.

The government is too big the way they are.  They  don’t needs our tax money.  That is why I’m for less government.

The Democrats and even some of the Established Republicans wants to keep people poor and uneducated.  They wants to keep us under their control.

It’s like before the Revolution War, the King of England wanted to keep the American Colonist under their control by over taxing us.  Well our forefather fought back then.  Luckily, for people like the tea party movement, President Trump, Ben Carson, etc., we the people are fighting back again against the government.

The Dreamers(DACA) are very concerned and upset with Pres. Trump.  They are concerned that they will be sent back.

If they thinks that Hillary Clinton and her fellow Democrats will help them, I got news for them.

All Hillary and her fellow Democrats care about is themselves.  They wants to keep the dreamers poor and uneducated; that way they can be easily controlled by the government.

It’s like in the book, “1984” Big Brother tries to keep the people under control by keeping them uneducated and poor.

I’m not saying that I am a genius, by no mean.  I’m constantly learning throughout my 52 years.

Pres. Reagan took step to nip the problem with DACA in the butt when he was President, in hoping that the government will do the right thing before it got out of hand.

Well, it got out of hands, because the government chose not to do anything about the problems.  That way they can have control over the people, by dumbing us down and keeping us poor.

I’m for living the American dream.  There are people who had overcame and succeeded to live the American dream.  My hat goes off to them.  It goes to show that anybody can live the American dream.  I’m an admire of the Kennedys. They achieved the American dream.  Sure there may have been some illegal stuff.  Even Ben Carson had lived the American dream.  He started out poor but thanks to his mother pushing for him to learn to read he had became a great success.  Even Abe Lincoln, who was self-taught man, is a prime example of someone who can achieve the American dream.

Instead of keeping people on welfare, shouldn’t we do what we can to help them get off the system; so that they too can live the American dream.

Like the old saying, “Buy a man a fish and they’ll eat for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and they’ll eat for a lifetime.”

But the government, not just the Democrats but some of the Republicans as well wants the poor, poor and on the system.  That way they can control them better.  Now that is Socialist at its best.

There is a big division between the 1% and the rest.  The government just doesn’t care.

Stay tune for next week blog, when I write about,  should minimum wage goes up to $15/hour in North Dakota.  There is a big but there!!

Did you know that bee venom counteracts the debilitating symptoms of diseases like multiple sclerosis and arthritis?  When sufferers feel their mobility diminishing, they grab a bee and give themselves a good sting.

No one likes getting stung by a bee!  It’s very painful.

As you can see though a good bee sting can be very helpful.

Two weeks ago I talked about the government getting a much needed sting.  These career politicians doesn’t much care for it either.  They are still fighting it and fighting Pres. Trump.  Even the fake news media don’t like this sting that Trump is giving them.

Then last week I talked about the church as whole needing a good sting.  I mentioned that the Pharisees didn’t much like it when Jesus pointed out their errors to them.  The Catholic Church didn’t much care for what Martin Luther pointed out to either them either.  I’m sure that some of these religious leaders of today didn’t much care for my last week blog either.

The truth hurts!

Well, this week, we as individual needs a good sting to shake us up a little.  We want to live life to the fullness.  We want to have fun with no cost at all.  We all thinks that we are going to live forever.  We don’t want think about dying or getting sick.  I’m no exception!

While we are in our 20’s we want to party and live it up.  I’ve done my share of partying.  We will eat the unhealthiest food.  Lots of junk food!!  We don’t think about getting health insurance, because it’s farthest thing from our minds.  It’s not until we are ready to settle down do we think about health insurance.

My step-dad used to chew Copenhagen.  When he noticed a spot on his lips, it scared him.  That was when he quit chewing cold turkey.  He was afraid of getting cancer of the lips.

I had a health scare few years ago during the summer I was working at Concordia College.  I was at a day labor place when I had a horrible pain in my lower back.  I couldn’t sit or stand still.  So I ended up going to the emergency room; which at the time was downtown.  Since I was not far, I walk there and was glad that there was no train.  I found out while there that I had kidney stones.  The weirdest thing is, just a few short years before that, my sister Barb died of cancer, that was found in her back by her chiropractor. It became a health scare for me and my family.  At first, the thought of cancer came to mind.  After finding out that I had kidney stones, I had cut back on drinking soda pops.  I used to drink quite a bit.  Then I cut back and lost few pounds.

The year that my mother had passed away, I took a trip out West to Washington.  I had flown that time.  I was in a car accident coming down Mount Rainer.  If it wasn’t for the seat belt I was wearing, along with the air bags and my mother’s spirit; I probably wouldn’t be here today.

Now to this day I make sure I put my seat belt on when I get in a car.  I never thought much of this before.

That accident was a wake-up call for me. Just like the first time I discovered I had kidney stones.  It was like a bee sting to shake me up a little.

Believe me, I have been stung by bees more than once in my life.  They are very painful.  They are worst than a needle.

The year I was turning 50  years old, I came to another realization that got me thinking about my health.  You see, my mother was 50 years old when she discovered she had heart trouble.

The wake-up call I had.  The good sting I had was this.  I had an uncle who made it to be 82 years old as of last year. He was my mother’s brother and he outlived his siblings.  I also have an aunt on my real father’s side, Aunt Ida, who is in her 90’s.  I don’t know if she is still alive right now; but that’s beside the points.

Seeing this longevity in my family; even though most had died young, I came to a realization.  It was almost like a good sting; which I very much needed.  I too can live longer than my mother, who was about 72 and my real father, who was 68 when they died.  All I have to do is change my eating habits and start eating healthier. I decided to lose some weight. I started cooking with olive oil, I started drinking less coffee and more tea,  I even cut back on eating bread.  I’m not saying it’s easy to go on this diet, by no mean.  Believe me, I struggle daily.

There’s some people who still doesn’t want to look at the signs and change their diet.  They want to keep on eating the junk.  They figured the doctor will prescribe a pill for them and they will be alright.

My step-dad was on the border of diabetes and he still would eat his candies up until before he died.

I know someone who also is diabetic and is now in assisted living.  He will drinks his diet pop thinking it’s alright.  He would eat junk and sometimes even not take his medications at the proper time.

Few weeks ago, I had another scare.  This time it affected my left knee.  I felt something pop and couldn’t walk.  It was my ligament in the knee that pop.  Luckily it wasn’t too serious.  I was able to see my chiropractor and he was able to help me.  For a few days I had to used a cane that was my step-dad.

I came to a conclusion, I’m much too young to feel that damn old.  So now I’m pushing ever harder to eat healthier.  I’m starting to eat more organic, fruits, vegetables, and now even more salads.

This person I know who now in assisted living, needs to take advantage of his support system.  He needs to set a goal for himself.

I think because I have set goals for myself and have a good support system out there to help, I believe I can do it.  I just need to lean on my support system.  Like I said sticking to a diet and trying to eat healthier isn’t easy.

Like I said earlier in this blog, we all need a good sting to shake us up a little.  Believe me, I had my share of stings.  If you get stung enough time; hopefully eventually you will change your habits and start living right.

It’s all up to you!  You can choose to keep on doing what you are doing and hope that a doctor can cure you or you can change your habits.  So far, I’m healthy and I want to keep it that way.

It’s not  just diet that will give us a good sting.  It can be anything.

Sometimes when people comes to accept the Lord, they are at their lowest.  They feel that they can’t handle it anymore so they either commit suicide or they find Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

My question to you?  Do you need a good sting?  Do you need a little shake up?  Do you want to change your ways and start living and eating right?

It’s up to you!!  No one else can make that decision for you.  No one can make you eat healthy.  No one can change your life spiritually.  No one can make you give up your bad habits.  It’s your choice!!

I don’t want to get religious with this blog.  I just hope that if this blog speak to anyone that you will come to your own decision of starting to live right and eat healthy before it’s too late.

Not easy to do it alone.  Take my words for it.  I’m glad for my support system.  That is why there is support groups out there to help you with whatever you need help with.  Don’t be afraid to take advantage of the support that is out there.

Remember last week I talk about the government needing a good sting?  Well this week it’s time for the church as whole to get a good sting.

Today is Easter Sunday.  The day that Jesus Christ had risen!

One of the commands that he made was to go out and make disciples among all nations.  This is where our religious leaders fail at.  They thinks only reaching people of their own kinds.  They don’t want to go to reach the unclean.  They are afraid that it might rub off on them.

During Jesus’ days, He called the Pharisees hypocrite.  I believe that He would call the religious leaders of today hypocrite also.

Jesus told the parables of the Good Samaritan.  The religious leader just walk on the other side to avoid the man injured and needing help.  It was the Samaritan who actually did help.

Apostle Peter had a vision about eating something unclean.  In Acts 10:15, “The voice spoke to him a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

We can take that same message to heart today.  When God calls us to go someplace that we may find unsuitable, we must go.  Yet some of these religious leaders doesn’t wants any part of it.  They are so afraid of catching something unclean.

We mustn’t judge others.  Yet these religious leaders judge others unjustly.  Some will not step foot inside a bar because they see drinking as sin.  What would Jesus do? He would go wherever the people are, no matter what.

Remember, Jesus came not just for the healthy; but for those who are sick and needs a Savior.  He sheds His blood for us all.  He said on the cross, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Remember Martin Luther who started the Lutheran Church?  He came about the reformation because he was upset with the leadership in the Catholic Church.

He did the works of Jesus Christ.

The Pharisees in Jesus’ days looked for ways to do away with Him because they didn’t like what he was saying about them.  The same group of people also went after John the Baptist and the other disciples as well.

Today’s so-called religious leaders are quick to judge others.  Instead reaching out to them and sharing the Gospel, they are condemning others.  Jesus never condemn us!

I have to admit there was a time I felt like the leaving the church.  I still believed in God, I was just upset with the religious leaders.  One was a pastor, who came across as being self-righteous.  I had this big problems with these self-righteous people who felt that they thinks that they are so perfect.  They felt that they have the authority to judge others because they don’t like what you say.

I have to admit, I’m not perfect.  I’m far from it.  I make plenty of mistakes.  One thing though, God isn’t through with me yet.  He is still working in my life, if I let Him.

I’m not saying we’re not to steer them right, just don’t judge them.

Like Jesus said, “Don’t try to pull a stick out of someone else eyes with a speck in your own eyes.”

Yet these so-called religious leaders in Jesus’ days and even today are doing that.

No what is keeping young people out of the church?  It’s these religious leaders judgmental attitude.

They are playing religion.  Jesus doesn’t wants us to play religion.  He wants us to be real with Him.

There is nothing worst than someone playing religion.  The Pharisees was playing religion.  They were playing God.

There are people today who are playing religion.  They are playing God.  That is one thing that turns me off from religion as a whole.  I know that I’m not alone with that either.  That is why young people are staying clear of church today.  That is why I almost left the church myself.

As Christians we are to love others into the kingdom.  We are not to play God and judge others.  “Judge not, lest ye be judge.”

I know a few people who is playing religion.  They are quick to judge others even for some of things they say or do.

Some of these people may not wants this blog out there.  Then again, the Pharisees truly didn’t want Jesus to speak the truth to what they were doing.  That was why they crucified Him.

The leaders in the Catholic Church didn’t much wanted the truth out either.  I’m sure there will be people that will not want this out either.

Like I said last week, the government got a much needed sting first by the tea party and now from Pres. Trump; and they truly don’t care about it.  They are fighting it.

Jesus gave the Pharisees a good sting that they didn’t wanted.  Martin Luther gave the leaders in the Catholic church a much needed sting that they didn’t want.

The church as a whole needs a good sting to shake them up a little.

If this sound likes a sermon, I apologized.  It’s time the church get a much needed sting.  It’s time we stop playing religion and be more Christlike.

Jesus was seen with the lowest of the low.  I believed if he was here in person today, He would still be with the lowest of the low and the religious leaders still wouldn’t like it.  I think why the Pharisees didn’t like it, was because Jesus shown them something that they weren’t proud of themselves. No one like seeing the truth about themselves.  It makes them cringe in disgust.

So don’t go calling someone unclean, that God already made clean.  It’s not our job to condemn.

If the Lord call you to go someplace where you may feel uncomfortable ask the Lord to help you.

I’m excited for churches who is going out where the people are to reach out to them, by sharing the gospel.  But those who are playing God, I have my problems with you.  Quit playing religion!  Quit being so self-righteous!  Jesus will probably say the same thing.

Remember, Jonah didn’t wanted to go to Nineveh.  He felt that they should be destroyed.

Thank God, that God didn’t feels the same way about us.  Jesus died on the cross to forgive us of our sins.

The Government is in the process of getting a good sting right now folks.

President George W. Bush made an attack on Pres. Trump recently.  He had the galls to speak bad of Trump.  Doesn’t he realize that he was the worse president since Jimmy Carter?  Doesn’t he realize that under him, the tea party was formed?

The tea party started under him because they weren’t too happy with the job he was doing as President.  From the way he handled the war against terrorist to his wasteful spending.  He turned that war into another Vietnam and Korea.  A war that was never really won.

The original tea party was the start of the Revolution war. The colonialist were fed up with the taxation by the King of England at the time. So they form a little tea party, in which they stormed the British merchant boat and threw overboard the tea from England.  It started in Boston, Mass.

Growing up, my step-dad  would always say this country is gearing up for another revolution. The American people is becoming fed up  with our corrupt government.

The bad things is, our founding father, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were afraid that this would happen too.

Our government wasn’t suppose to get this big.  Our politicians were not suppose to make a career out of being in Washington.  They were suppose to serve their terms and go back home.  The Federal Government was suppose to overlook everything and protect the nation.  It was the state government’s job to govern the people.

Like I said, the tea party started under Pres. George W. Bush; but they really made headway under Obama.

The only reason why Obama was elected both times was because the American people wasn’t too happy with the Established Republicans candidate, McCain and Romney.

The only reason why McCain got the nomination was because Guilanni just gave up for some reason and Obama was able to tell the people what they wanted to hear.

In 2012, I was looking at Herman Cane as the possible Republican candidate for President.  Well, the Established Republicans and the fake news media really attacked him hard.  They didn’t care for his tax plan.

Then the last Presidential election, none of the established republicans could pull out a win during the primary.  They couldn’t stop Trump.  The top 4 candidate were not part of the establishment: Trump, Ben Carson, Rubio, and Ted Cruz.

In our selfish culture, the poor are often despised, locked out of equal access and opportunity, and kept poor by governmental systems that make it more profitable to abandon the family rather than reunite it.

The democrats but some republicans wants to keep the poor under the government system and control.  By doing that they can manipulate them to vote for them and keeps them in office.  They just enjoyed that power that comes from being in Washington.  By keeping the poor, poor and uneducated, they can easily manipulated them.  They think that we are too stupid to know any better.

Pres. Reagan fought hard to less government, against opposition on both sides and the fake news media.  This is what Trump is also trying to do as well.

Today’s democrats are socialist and would not approve of John F. Kennedy.

Mitch McConnell wants Trump to endorse Romney for senator of Utah.  I hope Trump doesn’t do it.  Romney never endorsed Trump.

McConnell needs to retire and take all his so-called cronies with him like: Paul Ryan and North Dakota senator John Hoeven.

The Established Republicans isn’t the only party that has candidates that needs to go, so does the democrats.  Here are a few that needs to go: Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, and Colin Peterson, to name a few.

I hope that Trump keeps his words and fight for term limits for our congressman and senators.  They both should have 2 four years terms only.

They need to eliminate these big payoffs by the lobbyist to these politicians.  They are being bought off by whoever, from corporation to oil company to whatever else.  They enjoyed that power that comes with being there.  How else can they afford more than one mansion in more than their home state?

At least Harry Reid finally did the right thing and finally step down.

Sen. John McCain, who is dying of cancer should do the right thing and just step down to spend his remaining days with his family.  He loves that power so much!!

There is a shake up going on in Washington.  They are getting a good sting.  May Pres. Trump give it to them hard and don’t  let up until he cleaned up the swamp.

This is only part one of needing a good sting.  The government is finally getting their sting that they need.  Another revolution is coming like my step-dad had predicted will happen when the American people finally have had  enough.

Stay tune next week for part 2 of needing a good sting.  That one will go after the church as a whole, organized religion.  This will be in honor of Easter.

As you already probably know, former Governor George Sinner had passed away at age 89.  His funeral was on Friday.  The fake news media, the Democrats, and maybe even his family may not want the whole truth out about him when he was governor and before.  They only tell one side of the story.

As Paul Harvey would say, “Here is the rest of the story.

They say that he was North Dakota best Governor.  I wouldn’t say that he was the best; but he wasn’t the worse either.

The best North Dakota Governor was Ed Shaffer so far.  Shaffer had done more for  North Dakota than Sinner.  It was because of Shaffer, we had the surplus.

My family has connection with the Sinners.  The Hegers were neighbor with the Sinner’s family in Casselton, ND.  I remember, on Memorial Day weekend, when my mother would goes to the cemetery to put wreath on her folks grave.  She also would stop by her old home place.  She even showed us where the Sinners had their farm; which wasn’t far from her old home place.

One of George Sinner’s brother was Father Richard Sinner.  When Richard Sinner was a youngster, he was somewhat involved with my Aunt Rosella, my mom’s sister.  They were about the same age, give and take.

Can you imagine if they would had gotten together, how the Hegers and the Sinners would had been related?

Instead, Richard Sinner went to seminary and became a priest; while George Sinner was in seminary and left, got married and entered the political realm.

George Sinner came from a big family and him and Jane had a big family.

I remember another time while at the Casselton cemetery, on Memorial Day, my mother introduced me to Father Sinner.  They talked like the old days.

In the Fall of 1984, while at NDSU, I met George Sinner while he was running for Governor.  I was a college Republican.  It was like he recognized my family name and our political difference was not the issue.  We just had that connection.

My mother admired the Sinners; but she had no respect for Governor Dahlrimple, who was also from Casselton.  She told me that he was the neighborhood bully.  They lived on the other side of the railroad crossing and opposite side where the Hegers and the Sinners lived.

George Sinner may been good for the farmers in the state.

Another thing my mother told me was that Father Sinner was a real party animal, for being a priest and all.  He loved his alcohol and his women.

Now back to George Sinner as governor.

Both him and his brother, Father Sinner were responsible of bringing in the illegal immigrants from Mexico.  They brought them in to work their farms.  This wasn’t talk much about by the fake news media, and you all know why.

Before the end of his terms as Governor, George Sinner had a chance to outlawed abortion in the state of North Dakota and close the only abortion clinic that was in Fargo.  All he had to do was sign the bill. He never did and chose not to.  Since not signing the abortion bill, George Sinner health started failing while in office.  His political career also came to a crashing halt as well.

Some may wondered, how can a Catholic and family man support abortion.  He went to the seminary to become a priest; so he should had known the right thing to do.  His brother was a priest.  He, himself, had around 10 kids.  What was he thinking by not signing the abortion bill that would make abortion illegal in the state?

I felt because he went against God’s will, God punished him for it.  It was shortly after not signing the bill, that he had a light stroke.  He may not see it that way.

Throughout the Bible there are examples of God punishing those who did not obey the will of God.  Samson was not to give away his secret for his strength.  Saul kept some of the loot when he was suppose to get rid of it.

This past election, I did vote for the George Sinner that ran for state office in my precinct.  Even though I was Republican.

I’m not anti-George Sinner, by no mean.  That is why I titled this blog, “George Sinner: Saint or Sinner.”

Even though I’m a Republican, George Sinner will always have a special place in my heart.  I may not agree with them politically.  But my family has this connection with the Sinners that goes back to when my mother was a child and her family lived in Casselton.

There had always been bullies throughout history. Now we even have cyberbully.

First, you must understand, bullies are victims themselves.  Either they have been victimized at home or otherwise.  Bullies would pick on someone smaller or weaker than themselves.  Someone who is not able to fight back themselves.

If you can stand up to a bully, they’ll back down.  They don’t like it when you stand up to them.  It means that they cannot control you like they want.

Bullies are similar to emotional vampire.  They just drain you dry emotionally.  You just try to avoid them every chance you get.  Sometimes it is hard.

Some have said that Simon Cowell was a bully when he was the judge on American Idol.  I say that he was just being truthful.  Those trying out for those musical talent show needs to hear the truth, before they get out into the real world.

The fake news media says that Pres. Trump is a bully.  I say he is not.  He is just speaking the truth.  We need to hear the truth.  We need a strong leader to stand up against our enemies.

Now with the prominent of social media, we have what you may call cyberbully.  Cyberbully are actually cowards.  Through social media they can say whatever they want without the fear of repercussion.  They probably don’t dare do it to the person face.

The latest news story involved cyberbully and the story of “the stick man in Wisconsin.”  These young girls used the internet and a made up story to lure an unsurpassing victim to be nearly killed.

Since I’m heavily involved with the social media with my blogs, I know that I need to watch out for cyberbullies myself.  I know what it is like to be bullied.  I needs to have a thick skin.

Just like on Facebook, you have to watch what you say.  What you say could be misconstrued.  You don’t want to say the wrong things on Facebook or any social media.  It’s a good thing but it can also be a bad thing.

When I was writing my blog on “The casting couch,”  that was tough for me to keep from letting it get personal.  I have a story I would love to share but how would some people take it.  It could help somebody.  At the same time, I could faced being bullied.  I have to work up the courage or not.  If my readers would want to hear my stories, please me know in your comments.

Let us look at all these school shootings out there lately.

A lot of these shooters were bullied themselves while school.  The shooters in Columbine, Colorado, were victims of bullies.  They just had enough of being bullied; so they fought back.  And they took a lot of innocent lives with them.

These school shooters were either victims of bullies or they have a form of mental illness.

I’m not going to delve too much on the topic of mental illness; because that is another blog altogether.

Back to watching out for cyberbully, it matters to me what people thinks.  I have been lucky so far, the comments I have received were pretty much good comments.  I love the attention.

That is the same with bullies.  They just strive for attention. They crave it.  They don’t know any other ways to get it but by acting out.

When a man is abusive to his wife or girlfriend, he doesn’t know any better.  They grew up in that type of environment.  They were probably abused themselves or witnessed it.

Women who are victimized by abusive spouse; it’s hard for them to escape.  They don’t know any other ways to live.  They also either seen abused or were abused as children.

More and more lately, the fake news media and the Democrats are talking about gun control.  I won’t go too much into this subject because that is another blog.  All I will say to them is this:  gun control is not the answer to end these school shootings.

You didn’t hear much school shootings when I was in school.  Even though there was bullies.

How we can combat bullies in our schools and other places is first learn to stand up to them.  If you can’t stand up to them, we need to find ways to help the victims of bullies.  We need to let them know somehow that they are loved.  We need to help the victims of bullies by also letting them know that they are loved.

If you happened to see someone being bullied in person or on Facebook, or other social media; say something.  Tell them that what they are doing isn’t nice but they are still loved.  Stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves.

I maybe a known as a rebel at work right now; but I’m only learning to stand up for myself and the mistreatment of bad management.

My mom’s favorite song was, “Don’t laugh at me”, by Mark Wills.  Don’t laugh at those who are being bullied.  Stand up for them instead.

I’m not saying that you have to fight these bullies.  If you show signs of standing up to them, they will back down.  They don’t like it when victims stand up to them.

If you are dealing with an emotional vampire, stand up to them too.  I know a few emotional vampire too.

Don’t let these bullies get the better of you.  No one deserve to be bullied; not even bullies.

I have to admire Taylor Swift.  She may get a bad rap by the fake news media but she stands up to them.  She even write songs to stand up to them.  One of her song was titled, “Mean”.

Hollywood has always been weird but it just seems to be more weirder now.  It’s the home of all the fruits and nuts. And I don’t mean the kind you eat either.

Years ago, Hollywood was more conservative.  Even the movies that were made were better quality with better storylines.

It seems that those in Hollywood is very Liberal; almost to the point of being Leftist.

Tonight is the night of the Oscars.  Movies that are usually nominated for an Oscar or even win, you never really hear much about.  It seems like those crazies used the Oscar stage as their platform to air out their grievance.

Even with the technology, they  can’t seems to make movies as great.  Sure they have special effects; but they miss out on telling a story.

Let us take a look at the Cecil DeMille biggest movie ever, “The Ten Commandment”, starring Charleston Heston.  That movie was wonderfully made.  Well our Leftist people in Hollywood had to redo that movie.  Let me tell you, they destroyed it. Cecil DeMille was more accurate with the Ten Commandment to the Bible story version.

I never seen the James Cameron’s Titanic movie.  The reason why, I saw it as a remake.

Usually box-office movies doesn’t seems to win Oscars.  The movies that usually win are movies that not many heard of.  Especially now more than in the past.

Don’t get me wrong at times there are good movies out there that should get Oscar recognition.  The best box office movie I seen that actually won an Oscar was the Lord of the Ring.  It was well written, everything was good with the picture.

There was one small movie that was also very awesome. That movie was “The Help.”  It didn’t win an Oscar for best picture but it should have.  I’ve seen that movie and enjoyed it very much.  Even though it was based in the ’60s, it was true today.

Once in awhile a good movie is made.  It’s becoming far and between.  It seems that there are more remake of good movies than ever before.  Like they don’t have a creative mind of their own. When they remake a good movie, they ended up ruining it.  They are even remaking old TV shows and turning them into movies,  By doing that they ended up destroying the movies.

I’m not going to continue nitpicking because I could go for a long time.  There is more to talk about how weird Hollywood had become.

I do want to mention the old John Wayne’s movie, “Rio Grande.”  That was very good.  Well they went ahead and remade it. Just like the old Planet of the Apes movies.  The original ones were awesome.  The remake not so good.

It’s hard to find a good movies now days that you would want to see.  When you see a movie, you need popcorns and pop.  The movies are made so bad lately.  You are being cheated.  Not only was the movie bad; so was the popcorn and the pop was watered down.

Sometimes the preview is better than the movie.  I remember seeing the “Village.”  It was produced by the same person who produced “Sixth Sense.”  Now the “Sixth Sense” was a good movie.  The “Village” on the other hand was a let down.

When I was a child I had this dream of going to Hollywood, not only to be a singer, but also an actor.  Yes, you can say to be a part of the “fruits and nuts” of Hollywood.

They talked about the great earthquake that will eventually break California off from the United States.  With all those crazies out there, it wouldn’t be so bad.  It will be good riddance.

When I wrote about the casting couch last year.  Those in Hollywood seems to forget that it was the norm for producers and directors to sleep with the stars.  They are just coming out with the “me-too” things?

Sometimes, these stars become too big for their britches.  When they are  caught doing something illegal, they screamed, “Do you know who I am?”  They want special treatment just because they are a celebrity.  Why should they?  Why should they be treated better?  If you commit the crime, you face the punishment.

Don’t get wrong, sometimes some of the causes they stand up for I agree with.

As I said in past blogs, the only reason why this “me-too” came up is because is they are upset that Donald Trump was elected President.  They think that Hillary would saved them.  They seems to forget what Old Bill Clinton did when he was President. Where was Hillary?  She sure wasn’t supporting the victims.  Instead, she stood by Bill and called the victims tramp, so to speak.

Now these Leftist wants to get Oprah to runs for President; especially after her statement during the Golden Globe.

Years ago it was ok to be a Republican and a Conservative.  Now days you are shun if you are one.  Tim Allen lost his show, “Last Man Standing” because of him voting for Trump.  Now Hollywood doesn’t want much to do with him.  He is just one of the few.

I’m surprised that Roseanne is returning to television.  Since she had supported Trump for President.

Tonight is the Oscars.  I’ll watch it but not to see who will win. I couldn’t care less since I haven’t seen any of the movies that are nominated.  The only reason I will watch it is to see what these Leftist has to say next.

They say that they want to help the people but yet they lives in their glass house and you better not attack them.  They will cry foul if you do.  They’ll say, “do as I say not as I do.”  They’re not willing to give up what they have.  They expect the common folks to do that.  They want their cake and eat it too.
