Ain’t no thinking thing!

It seems people now days don’t do much thinking for themselves these days. They don’t use their head to think things through much anymore. They lack common sense.

This book talks about the power of thinking without actually thinking.

When I was in school, a calculator wasn’t allowed to be used in math class. We had to so our works as we solved the math problems. In other words, math was done long-hand. Now days, students are recommended to use a calculator in the math class. What good is that? What do they learn? They learn nothing at all

Today’s journalist doesn’t do their research anymore before reporting the news like they do. It’s all about getting the stories out before the competition. They don’t care if the story is true or not. They are just after the money not the facts. Like the old tv series, “Dragnet,” “Just the facts, Ma’am!’

I’m the kind of blogger who knows the truth about journalism and believe in giving you the facts, as I share my opinions. I do my research to make sure I’m close to being accurate as possible.

I know this one teacher, before she actually became a teacher. She used to worked at Kmart when I worked there. She said that she would flunk any student who did a report that she didn’t agree with; even though that student actually did the work in researching information for the report. If I was a parent of that student, I would get that teacher fired for doing that. I would be damn proud of when a student actually do the research needed to do the report.

It’s a crying shame, a lot of today’s teacher think that way though. Not like when I was in high school and college. That’s is how we actually learn by researching and doing actual thinking.

The part of our brain that leaps to conclusions is called the adaptive unconscious. I have 2 nieces who are book smart but have no common sense when it comes to people. They can’t seems to understand why the family couldn’t do more to help. They seems to forget that we have to work too, just to make ends meet. We don’t always have the time as they think we should have; then they get angry and wondered why we can’t help. That’s the way a lot of younger people are these days.

Too many people is on their smartphones believing the social media rather than actually doing the research to make sure the facts are right.

We believe that we are always better off gathering as much information as possible and spending as much time as possible in deliberation. In a moment of stress, when haste does not waste, when our snap judgements and first impressions can offer a much better means of making sense of the world.

People would rather make snap judgment rather than actually do their research. Snap judgments are enormously quick: they rely on the thinnest slices of experience. They believe the lies rather than checking things out themselves. This is why I watch Fox news as well as the fake mainstream news media; just to get the whole story, as Paul Harvey would say.

We need to respect the fact that it is possible to know without knowing why we know and accept that sometimes. If we put any information out there that social media doesn’t agree with such as Facebook and Twitter, a disclaimer is put on what we wrote by these so-called, factcheckers; such as the vaccines for example. People don’t want to know the truth! They want to believe what they believed.

When we ask people to explain their thinking-we need to be careful in how we interpret their answers. People now days are quick to make snap judgments and refuse to believe anyone who actually speak the truth. If they don’t agree with something, they will not accept it. Then you get into a big debate that can turn rather ugly with name-calling. Not like years ago, when people can learn to disagree with one another.

There’s power in positive thinking. There’s power in the ability to think for yourself and do your own research; rather than actually believe what they are being taught in our schools and being told in our social media, mainstream news media and the government. The government knows that too, especially the Democrats. They don’t want us to know the truth. If we knew the truth, they couldn’t control us. It’s all about control to them. The more control they have over us, they more they like it.

Joe Biden talks about being united; but only if we agree with him and the Democratic party. He even created what is known as an organization called, “the thought police.”

Now the “thought police comes from the book, “1984” by George Orwell; making that book becoming more and more of a reality.

We’re not allowed to have our own thoughts. If we have our own thoughts, they cannot control us. They want to remain in control of our everyday life and thoughts.

Don’t let anyone tell you that what you are thinking is wrong! You are entitled to your own opinions and way of thinking. They can’t control our thinking like they want to.

Think for yourself and do your own research!!
