This blog is not about Old Milwaukee beer and it’s not about Milwaukee, Oregon either.

My first beer was Old Milwaukee followed by Budweiser. I have to admit that I like beer and I preferred Old Milwaukee over Budweiser. Hell yeah, I like beer!!It’s true what they say drinking Budweiser doesn’t make you wiser.

I even been to Milwaukee, Oregon as a child.

We’re talking about baseball now. The Milwaukee I’m talking about is the Milwaukee Brewer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I have been passed Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the way to Indianapolis. I was only on the outskirt, so I didn’t see much.

Milwaukee, Oregon is a vibrant riverside city located mostly in Clackamas County just south of Portland. It is known as the “Dogwood City of the West” and the birthplace of the Bing cherry.

We all have eaten Bing cherries.

Milwaukee, Wisconsin is the most populous city in the state of Wisconsin, located on the western shore of Lake Michigan. It is roughly 90 miles north of Chicago. It’s nickname is “Brew City.” It is known as the “City of Festivals, hosting annual events like Summerfest, German Fest, and Irish Fest. The reason for this blog, the Milwaukee Brewers.

Now back to baseball!

Trace Adkin had a song called, “Swing.” This year is what the Brewers did. They swung and made history by not only making the World Series but winning their very first World Series.

The Milwaukee Brewers started in 1969 as the Seattle Pilots. A year later they made a move to Wisconsin and became the Brewers. They had been to the World Series in 1981 but lost.

I have to admit that I wasn’t a big Brewers fans because they were known as the Detroit Lions of baseball. When I heard they made it to the World Series, I was happy for them. They made history. Who couldn’t be happy about that? Unless you’re a Minnesota Vikings fan? They hate anything to do with Wisconsin. All because of their biggest rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.

I made a big mistake when I was on my way to Indianapolis for a work and witness trip with people from Minneapolis area. I said that Wisconsin is such a beautiful state. They didn’t want to hear it.

The Green Bay Packers is a small town football team who had won 4 Super Bowl. What have the Minnesota Vikings done? They have been to 4 Super Bowl and lost all 4. The only other team to have done that is the Buffalo Bills. The Denver Broncos had done it as well; but after their 5th time to the Super Bowl, they finally won

People in Minnesota is still waiting for the Vikings to win a Super Bowl. They start off good in the beginning of the seasons but ended up choking toward the end. It’s almost like they can’t eat soup without choking.

The Green Bay Packers haven’t done very well ever since Brett Favre left; but at least they had won.

Now Wisconsin has something else to bragged about beside the Green Bay Packers and their beautiful scenery in the state. They also have Pinky, a pink elephant at a rest stop on the way to Milwaukee. Now both the Brewers and Packers have won a championship.

What does Minnesota have to be proud of? The only sport teams who had won a championship is the (drum roll please) the Minnesota Twins. Minnesota is known as the welfare state. The amount of fraud discovered in Minnesota is from $250 million to over $9 billion. It also been a Democratic run state for the longest time.

What will it take for the Minnesota Vikings to finally win a Super Bowl? Does hell have to freeze over? Does Minnesota have to finally turn red this election to clean up the mess?

I have to admit, I would like seeing the Brewers play against the Cleaveland Guardians formerly the Indians; but I’m still excited for the Brewers to finally making history and winning their very first World Series.

Baseball was at one time America’s all time sport that people would not only play but watch from the cheap seats.

This is why I say you cannot change history but you can learn from it. Sometimes history can surprise you. It did with the Brewers. Could Minnesota finally turn red this election? Could the Minnesota Vikings finally win a Super Bowl and hell freeze over? Could the Detroit Lions be next to make history and make it and win a Super Bowl? We have to watch and see what happens.

TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME!! Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers making history and winning your first World Series! You made Wisconsin proud and lift the burdens from the Green Bay Packers from carrying heavy load for Wisconsin.

You’re next Detroit Lions to make history and make it to the Super Bowl and win. Do it before the Minnesota Vikings; otherwise hell will freeze over.
