For those who does Bible devotions and pray, when is the best time?
The best time of day is now! Time is a ticking! This is the day! Time is money! Procrastination is a killer. When you choose to kill time, you begin to kill those gifts and callings which God has placed within your life.
Are you killing or wasting time, in hoping someone else will step up to the plate?
I do my Bible devotion twice a day, in the morning when I wake up and at night when before go to bed.
In Ecclesiastes 11:4, “Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.”
Let us talked about seasons and time for everything as in Ecclesiastes 3. In verse 1, “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” In verse 2, “a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,” Verse 3,”a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build.” Verse 4, “a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.” Verse 5, “a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain.” Verse 6, “a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away.” Verse 7, “a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak.” Verse 8, “a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
We all heard the classic song, “Seasons in the sun.” Do you know that it was taken from the Bible passage in Ecclesiastes 3?
The time is now for Christians to wake up and get involved; otherwise it may be too late for America. Division is better than agreement in evil. We cannot sit back and do nothing, in hoping someone else will speak up.
The mistake most people make is thinking that the main goal of life is to stay busy; so we’re too busy to get involve and speak out against the evil in the world today. So many people think, it’s not my job to get involved. I’m not a preacher or a politician.
If we don’t get involved, the devil will win in destroying everything God had created. If we don’t get involved, they will succeed in indoctrinating our kids with this evil in the world today. Evil cannot survive in the light. As Christians we are to go out and reach the lost for Jesus. We are to take a stand against the evil in the world today. It’s not just the preachers. We definitely cannot count on our politicians because some of them are corrupted.
We Christians need to be known as those who accomplish great things for God-not those who simply talk about it. Procrastinators are good at talking versus doing. As Mark Twain said, “Noise produces nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg cackles as though she has laid an asteroid.” In other words, put your money where your mouth is. Don’t be all talk and no actions!
Many people say that they are waiting for God; but in most cases God is waiting for us take up your cross. The price of growth is always less than the cost of stagnation. As Edmund Burke said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men and women to do nothing.”
If we sit and do nothing, we become stagnant and stale. We let evil get a foothold in the lives of our children. Do we want that? I sure as hell don’t!
Occasionally you may see someone who doesn’t do anything and yet seems to be successful in life. Don’t be deceived! The old saying is true, “Even a broken clock is right twice a day.” As Christians we are called to make progress- not excuses.
Are you making excuses just to keep from doing what you know you need to do? We all do it! I’m guilty of it. Either I’m too busy or whatever excuses I can come up for that situation I’m making excuses for.
Procrastination is a primary tool of the devil to hold us back and make us miss God’s timing in our lives. The fact is, the longer we take to act on God’s direction, the more unclear it becomes.
Don’t miss the opportunity to speak out and take a stand. There is a time for everything. We can’t sit on our ass and do nothing; otherwise we will miss what God has in store for us. When doors open, we must be willing to go through it. Just like, if you don’t take the time to witness, there will be another lost soul.
The time is now to speak up or it may be too late. God gave me the tool to speak out in my blog. Believe me, I’m not going to miss the opportunity and by doing so, miss God’s blessing upon my life. Who is with me on this?
What are you waiting for? Waiting is the hardest thing to do. No one likes waiting. Sometimes though, waiting is necessary and sometimes it’s a waste of time. People don’t like waiting for a train or red lights. Guys don’t like waiting for their girlfriends or wife to get ready. Or whatever you’re waiting for. Don’t wait for an opportunity otherwise you may miss the blessing in store for you.
When the opportunity and the right time arises, don’t sit on your ass and do nothing, waiting for someone who is more qualified to come forward and take the blessing that is yours.
