Turn Back Time

Do you ever wish you could turn back time?

We all wish we could at times. This is one of the reasons for cosmetic surgeries. People goes to Plastic surgeon, who specialized in treating injuries, diseases, and deformities even due to age. People are always looking for the fountain of youth to make themselves look younger than they actually are. They will do whatever it takes to look younger.

I had an Aunt who would die her hair to keep the gray out; so she could not look her age. I had a sister who would dress like she was younger than what she was. Have you ever saw some older woman dressed like they are in their 20’s, thinking they are still sexy, when they’re not? I don’t know about you, but I think that is disgusting. They should dressed their age. Don’t they know that Time Marches On?

Don’t ask time where it’s gone; tell it where to go! You can gain control of your time. All great achievers, all successful people, are those who have been able to gain control over their time. Time after time, we can do so.

We need to choose to give our best time to our most challenging situation. It’s not how much we do that matters; it’s how much we get done. We should choose to watch our time, not our watch. One of the best timesavers is the ability is to say no.

Have you ever noticed someone looking at their watch or cell phone to see what time it is? They’re doing that in hoping of speeding up time; so they can clock out from work.

Don’t be killing time! Make sure to take care of the vulnerable times in your days. Never allow yourself to say, “I could be doing big things if I weren’t so busy doing small things!” Take control of your time. The greater control you exercise over your time, the greater freedom you will experience in your life.

You never heard a father say, “If only I spend more time at work.” Instead they are saying, “if only I had more time to spend with my kids and spouse.” They wish they could turn back time to make things right.

I have to admit, I wish I could turn back time and change a few things in my past. Maybe my life would be so much better today. If I could, I would spend more time studying in college to get a better education; so that I could have a better job. I wished I could have told someone about the sexual abuse I suffered as a child and got the help I needed; but there was no one I could tell.

I wouldn’t miss not knowing my young friend, Joey; even though I had grown attached to him. The only thing I wish I could had done things differently to keep my heart from getting involved, putting me into temptation way.

What would you do with the extra time you were given? What changes would you make in your life? What would you do differently? Would you write a book, learn to play a musical instrument, be better at sport, or do anything else important?

Who wouldn’t want to make things right or make a difference in the world today?

We all have the same amount of time each day to make a difference. Don’t be like the airline pilot flying over the Pacific Ocean who reported to his passengers, “We’re lost, but we’re making great time!” Don’t be like the father who wished he had spent more time with his kids while they were growing up.

Gain control of your time, and you will gain control of your life! Learn from your past mistakes so you will not be doom to repeat it.

Just like we cannot change history, we can’t change the past either. Instead we can learn from our past just like we can learn from history. Stop trying to change your past! Just look back and learn from your mistakes, as you move forward. What is in our past is there for a reason, to develop us into the person we are to become. You can’t run from your past either!
