Getting Older

We cannot escape from the fact of getting older. Like my mother would say, “There’s 2 things we can’t avoid and they are, paying taxes and dying.” We will have to pay taxes until we die. We are not immortal, we all are going to die someday.

The fact is that as we get older, we will feel it in our body and bodily function. As my step-dad would say, “going steady with arthritis,” when it comes to any aches and pains we may have. Believe me, I feel it with my knees, some days are worse than others.

We even have memories lost as we get older in one form or another. You can prolong it by either taking drugs or the natural way by doing words search. I prefer doing words search on my phone.

As you get older, you will also have bladder issues. As the saying goes, “you start out in diapers and you end up in diapers.” As you get older you may not always make it to the bathroom in times or have to go more often. When that happens, you will sometimes leaves messes in or on your pants. Then you get discriminated against and asked to leave. It makes a person wonder what they will do to those in nursing home and/or assisted living. Will they kicked them out too for that issues? They used the fact that it’s unsanitary. New Life will rather kick someone out for that over someone having pink eye 3 times. I don’t know about you, but pink eye is much worse.

Bill Gates wants to eliminate the elderly because he sees them as being useless to society. This is one of the reason him and Dr. Nazi Fauci created the COVID virus to kill off the elderly. This is why COVID affected the elderly more than children. They were trying to kill them off.

What you can do to redefine your health is change your diet and avoid putting poisons into your body. Assume for a moment that there was a pill that could extend your life. How likely would you take it? How many are in search of the Fountain of Youth? I mean, we all are searching for ways to stay younger as long as possible. They’ll do whatever it takes to do so, from dying your hair to getting a face lift.

Do you know someone who doesn’t look their age? I’m 60 years old, but to some, I don’t look my age. People who looks younger than they are, is because of good genes, and they don’t smoke or spend time getting tan either outside or in a tanning booth. Don’t get me wrong, we need the sun for healthy living but we also must learn that too much can cause aging and skin cancer.

Older Americans have become good at the psychology of money. They know that they cannot depend on Social Security. Yet there some who do and they cry about it when it runs out. They want the government help you. You need more than Social Security to survive when you retire. It’s also good to have a good retirement and investments set up for when you retire. How many actually think of that though when they are young.

When you’re young, you think you’re going to live forever. You just want to live life to the fullest and have as much fun as you can.

As you get older, hopefully you’ll also become wiser.

It shouldn’t be a surprise that older adults are the happiest people.

The bad thing is as you get older, nursing home and medical care eats up your income. If you own property, expect the government to take it from you.

What scares me is the fact that these younger generation will be taking care of us in our old age. Our cane will become our weapons. They have no respect for the elderly. They don’t realize that with age comes wisdom.

Let’s throw the stereotype away! The elderly are redefing our health, wealth, our challenges, and living with a purpose. We are not done living yet. We still have a lot of living to do. Don’t count us out! Instead listen to us because we got wisdom that comes with age.
