Get Dress!!

What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

The first thing I do is go to the bathroom. I then do my morning devotion or you can say, putting on the armor of God. I then get myself dress.

This week blog will be on the Armor of God found in Ephesians 6:11-18. Let us delve into this a little.

In Ephesians 6:11, Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” Verse 12 says, ” For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” verse 13 says, “Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything to stand.”

There is a battle out there battling for our mind, body and spirit. The devil is out there like a roaring lion looking for those to devour. It’s only getting worse as we’re facing the end times. We have to be able to stand up against the devil’s evil schemes. That’s why it’s important to read your Bible and wears proper clothes. Those in our military knows this all so well. They know what to wear when going out to war. And we should know all that as we go about our days.

When David confronted the giant, he was given Saul’s armor that was way too big. So David took it off and faced the giant with only a sling shot and few rocks. The giant laughed but David got the last laugh when he killed the giant with only his sling shot.

In Ephesians 6:14, “Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place.”

You must know the truth and the truth will set you free. Yet there are some who cannot handle the truth. If you speak the truth, they become defensive and offended by it. Recently Charlie Kirk was assassinated because he spoke the truth. Those on the Left didn’t like it.

In Ephesians 6:15, “And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

You must wear good comfortable shoes when you go out upon your days. If you’re working, you don’t wear sandals because they don’t protect your feet. You need shoes fitted for the job you’re doing. The shoes must be comfortable and safe.

Even though, I like wearing sandals on my day off from work because they are comfortable. When you wear sandals though, you don’t wear socks; but my feet are so ugly, I have to wear socks.

In Ephesians 6:16,: In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

If you ever noticed, the armor only covers your frontside. It’s because we are to face our enemies head on and not run from them.

In Ephesians 6:17, “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

The Bible not only our shield but also our sword. You cannot not literally bring your Bible with you everyday. If you are into the Bible daily and prayed up daily, the Lord will gives you the strength and protect you as you go about your day.

The best defense you can have is to know your Bible and stand your ground. When they took the Bible and prayers out of our schools, guns and violence entered. It’s time they bring back the Bible and prayers in our schools and take out the trash that is being fed to our kids. They are sexually abusing our kids by telling them that they are a pronoun and not who God made them out to be.

In Ephesians 6:18, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” In verse 19, “Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given to me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.”

This is vital that when we get up in the morning we put on the full armor of God. We’re facing a battle out there everyday. It’s vital that we pray and read our Bible everyday before we leave the house.

At end of the day, it’s also vital that we read the Bible to give thanks to God for seeing through another day.

Parents pray for your kids before they go to school for God’s protection on them. Pray also for me, as I go about my day that God will give me the words to speak and words to write in my blog. Now that Charlie Kirk is gone because of the crazy nutjobs, someone must pick up their cross and carry on for truth, justice and God’s leading.

As I said last week, dress appropriately before leaving the house. There’s a battle going and we must be prepared to fight.

Now get up and get dress!! Get into the Words daily, for it will protect you. Dressed appropriately for battle. It’s time someone carry on for Charlie Kirk. God will use you if you allow Him too.
