Elon Musk: Either like or dislike Him

When you hear of Elon Musk, what is your reaction toward him? What is your opinion about him? How do you feel about him?

When I first heard of Elon Musk, I didn’t much care for him. I had the same view of him as I had of Donald Trump. But like Donald Trump, Elon Musk had a way to grow on a person.

In this blog, I will give you a biography about Elon Musk and show how my view toward him had changed.

Elon Musk is 53 years old. He’s a businessman known for his key roles in the space company Space X and the automotive company Tesla. He also just last year bought Twitter and renamed it X. He was born in Pretoria, South Africa to Errol and Maye Musk. He was born on June 28, 1971. His nationality is American,Canadian, and South African. His net worth is $424.9 billion US dollars. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Science in 1997.

Elon Musk is a member of the wealthy South African Musk family. At 18, he immigrated to Canada, acquiring its citizenship through his mother. In 1995, he moved to California. He acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion.

In 2004, Musk was an early investor in electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, providing most of the initial financing and assuming the position of the company’s chairman. He helped create SolarCity, a solar energy company that was acquired by Tesla in 2016 and became Tesla Energy. In 2013, he proposed a hyperloop high speed vactrain transportation system. In 2015, he co-founded OpenAI, a nonprofit artificial Intelligence research company. In 2022, he acquired Twitter for $44 billion, merged the company into his newly created X Corp and rebranded the service as X the following year.

As you can see, Elon Musk is a busy wealthy man; and some say that he is too smart for his own good, a genius. He can come across as being arrogant to the common man. Because of his arrogance.

Elon Musk’s action and expressed views have made him a polarizing figure. He has been criticized for making unscientific and misleading statements, including Covid-19 misinformation, affirming antisemitic and transphobic comments, and promoting conspiracy theories. His ownership of Twitter has been controversial because of large employees layoffs, an increase in posts containing hate speech, misinformation and disinformation on the service, and changes to service features, including verification. The reason for him buying Twitter and changing it to X,is because he is believer in free speech. He felt that Twitter was censoring free speech from anyone on the right.

Now I wasn’t a big fan of Elon Musk at first. But once he went about and purchased Twitter under the guise of free speech, I soon started liking him. I’m a supporter of free speech myself.

Freedom of Speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction. It’s one of our Constitution’s Rights.

Yet those on the Left like the Democrats and fake mainstream news media were infringing on our freedom of speech because they didn’t like what was being said. Even such Social Media as the old Twitter and Facebook were censoring anyone who they felt was posting misinformation, or something they disagree with such as CoVid information and Hunter Biden’s briefcase. In other words, if you don’t agree with them, you were guilty of misinformation and were quickly cancelled from Facebook. Much like they were doing in the book, “1984.” If they were doing that, just think they could very easily do that to me because they do not like what I post in my blog. Luckily, my blog isn’t real big yet;otherwise, I could also faced being cancelled by those on the Left.

Elon Musk was once a Democrat but got smart and left the party and endorsed Donald Trump for President in this past election. He was one of the Democrats who had gotten smart and left the party in support of Donald Trump. He was joined by Bobby Kennedy Jr and Tulsi Gabbert as well.

Elon Musk, along with Vivek Ramaswamy will co-lead his planned Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), advisory board; which is tasked with removing regulations in order to reduce expenditures and increase government efficiency. I believe that our forefathers would be all for this. I also believe that both President Reagan and President John F. Kennedy would also be for it as well. Yet there are those on the Left and the Rhino Republicans who are against this. DOGE will eliminate wasteful spending by our corrupt government. It could even cut taxes as well. I’m looking forward to Trump’s second term as President and to see what DOGE can do to cut wasteful spending in our government.

The moment Elon Musk came out in support of free speech and bought Twitter, I became a supporter of him. Whereas, before I felt that he had a big ego about himself being so damn rich and smarter than everyone else.

I don’t know what to think about AI. But if AI wants my day job, they can have it. There’s still some jobs out there that AI probably won’t be able to take quite yet though. James Cameron made a prediction about AI with his movie,”The Terminator.” I won’t go into too much with AI in this blog until I get more information.

On Elon Musk comments on transphobic, my view had changed because of getting to know someone who is a transgender and gay. As long as they are not hurting anyone, can’t we just let them be themselves. Can’t we just learn to accept them as they are? Believe me, I’m doing that now that I know the whole story.

I’m not big on electric cars being push onto everyday American citizens. For one, not everyone can afford them. They cannot work in the winter, especially when the temperature gets way below zero wind chill. I already did a blog on electric cars.

I do believe in solar energy and know people who built solar houses. I don’t know if I would want one though. Maybe I need more information on solar energy. If it’s anything like windmill, you can forget of me being on board. As I wrote in previous blog on windmill, windmill does more harms to the environment. They kill and/or harm wildlife around them. They are an eyesore as well.

This is my view on Elon Musk. I agree with some of what he stands for and disagree with some. What do you agree with? I would like to hear from you in the comment below. I promise you that I will not censor you. You are entitle to your opinions just as I am. It’s our god-given freedom of speech.
