Be A Witness!!

Happy Easter everyone!!

What kind of witness are you? How well do you do at witnessing to others? Are you lukewarm?

Many are afraid to witness because of when people sees the Jehovah’s Witness or the Mormons come strutting up to the house, apartment or even a car, they shut the blinds in hoping that they would go away.

Many Christians could give you a decent answer to why we need to evangelize the lost, but when you get around to specifics and plans, they begin to tremble, shake, and turn white.

If the church was a retail business, it would have floundered years ago, based on its bad marketing principles.

What part should Kingdom citizens(Believers) play in reaching the lost-an active or passive role? People needs the Lord, but so many of Christians don’t do a very good job at witnessing to others for many reasons.

What would you do if a lost person came knocking on your door? Would you turn them away?

The non-Christian population is busy with evading fears that they have either caused or that come from being victims. The Christians, unfortunately, often largely reflect the secular world when it comes to fear.

When we live lives with fear controlling our sharing of the Gospel, we are not living up to all that God has called us to.

Instead of dealing with fear, we sweep it under the carpet and call that good. It is time to have a wake-up call. Church, and honestly look at your life and see what actions and activities would be fear defining and faithless. What would the church be like internally and behind the scenes if it actually dealt with its issues or to quote modern psychology, its “demons”?

What a change we would find in our churches, regarding soul winning, if we had a different relationship to fear. Too often we have the white elephant of fear grossly distorting our walk, leading us to experience and pass on a counterfeit Christian experience.

Is the thought of witnessing scary to you?

I have a confession, I don’t know about you but I don’t do very well at witnessing to others. To be honest, I would rather be left alone than bother witnessing to others; as crazy as the world has become. I would prefer a cabin in the woods rather than deal with all the craziness going on in the world today., Believe me, the world is in desperate need of a Savior right now. What is the church doing about it? Are they as scared as I am?

When we witness, we are not to judge people’s lifestyle choices. Yet, there are people in churches who are hypocrite when it comes to witnessing to others. They are like the Pharisees and very judgmental of others. If you don’t look acceptable, you are not welcome into the church. If you don’t look or act the part, you are shunned away and condemn.

We all have a story to tell. Shouldn’t we be willing to share our story with the world? You can say that I am hiding behind my blog when it comes to witnessing to others. I haven’t done very well at witnessing because I don’t want to scare my readers away. Religious blogs don’t do very well for some reason. I’m aiming for what the readers want instead.

If your witness of Christ is hot, the King is accurately reflected and the Kingdom is blessed and grows. On the other hand, if you have a cold witness, your limp fish spiritual life will also become readily evident.

One of the hidden dangers of being lukewarm is that it dulls your senses. It slowly makes you think that life in partial obedience to God is actually another form of obedience.

What does a lukewarm heart do with the Bible, then? If the fire of the Spirit is not hot but just kept warm by a few dying embers of a past experience, this state will affect your approach to Scripture. If Christians continue being lukewarm, the Christian church will eventually die, when the elderly die. If the church doesn’t do their part in reaching the next generation, the devil will succeed. I’m afraid to say that the Christian churches are slowing dying.

When you think of a Christian as “on-fire” for God, what actions do you observe from their life?

We are in need of a revival once again. People needs the Lord now more than ever.

Where’s the beef? Much has been said recently about politics and how there is a dramatic difference from campaign promises to win election. This could be said and could be true of any political party, and can certainly apply to the Christian witness. It would seem a drastic problem when Christians at times do not resemble the name they bear. I have a hard time with people who judge others because they are different(sounds like I’m judging). Sometimes the devil is found in the heart of the long haired hippie type, while at other times it is the decadent heart of the clean cut church attending serial killer. On the other hand, in the church, spiritual fruit is not based merely on who can dress the best or quote the most Scripture or who listens to Christian radio. Yet there are people in the church who would judge a person if they drink alcohol or have been in a homosexual relationship.

The Great Commission states, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” This is our command as Christians to go out and witness.

As in Isaiah 6:8, my favorite Bible verse, “Whom shall I send, who will go for me? Here am I! Send Me!”

We mustn’t be all talk. The Lord will judge us by our actions as well. If we say one thing but do another, we are not truly witnessing. We are lukewarm and God will spit us out. There are people who doesn’t like drinking lukewarm water.

Now more than ever, the world needs to hear about Jesus. The Christian churches need to step up in their witnessing before it’s too late.

If you are moved by this blog to be a better witness press like and find yourself a good Bible preaching church. If you feel you are ready to come and accept the Lord, I hope that there will be someone who is a Christian available to lead you to accept the Lord. If not find yourself a good Bible preaching church. My prayer is that someone will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior from this blog. I also pray for a revival now more than ever.
