Recently, George Santo was expelled from Congress for lying to his contingent in New York. I’m not defending him, but rather to say, “why him and not others?” They all have lied in Washington in one way or another. Shouldn’t they all be expelled as well?
Besides, isn’t up to the voters of New York to decide his fate? They all voted for him. They bought into his lies.
Then again, the mainstream news media is as much too blame. If they would do their job of actually reporting the news, the full story, the outcome would have been much different. Let’s take a look closer at this: They had such hatred for Trump that they couldn’t see straight. They refused to see the facts about Joe Biden, when it was right in front of them. They would factcheck anyone over Joe and Hunter Biden just to keep the truth from getting out. If the American people knew the truth, the 2020 election would had a much different result.
About the same the time as George Santo was being expelled from Congress, Senator Robert Menendez from New Jersey and a Democrat was charged with accepting bribes, including cash, gold bars and a Mercedes-Benz in exchange for political favors. He was also charged with conspiring to act as an agent of Egypt while serving as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Shouldn’t he be expelled also or is it just one-sided in Washington? Only the Democrats can lie and get away with it; while the Republicans are runs through the ringers. I mean, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. They should be treated equally in the eyes of the law; but they are not.
In this blog, I will name a few others who have lied to the American public. But first, it’s up to the American people to decide who to vote for. Just like it’s the news media job to actually give the American people the whole facts and not be partial. Before you vote, check the facts to make the right decision. What does their action speaks? Does it speak for them or are they talking out of both side of their mouth?
Here are some lies told by some of them: The first President George Washington said, “I did not cut down the cherry tree.” Actually, we don’t know if that was a lie or not but it’s a good example. Was he telling the truth or was he lying and the axe used to cut down the cherry tree on the ground next to him?
North Dakota former Senator, Kent Conrad lied to the people of North Dakota when he said, ” I will not seek reelection for Senator.” By doing that, it gave Byron Dorgan permission to seek the run to become North Dakota Senator. They were buddies! When Quentin Burdick passed away that same year, what did Kent Conrad do? He ran for reelection. He tried to spin it by saying, “It’s not reelection, it’s just running for Burdick’s seat.” It’s still reelection, I don’t care how he may spin it.
The only reason Kent Conrad was elected in the first place was because of the scandal involving Senator Mark Andrew of him suing the old St. Luke’s hospital in Fargo. To some people that was more of a no-no than what Kent Conrad did. Or was it the fact that Mark Andrew was a Republican and Kent Conrad was a Democrat?
When the first George Bush ran for reelection, his slogan was, “Read my lips-no new taxes.” What was he trying to prove there? When someone says, read my lips or look into my eyes; they are hoping that people will see the truth in the lips or the eyes. The eyes hold the truth supposedly. A person who is a good liar can lie through their teeth. Some people can talk out of both side of their mouth and make people believe it. Usually the best liars will get elected. We are gullible enough to believe the lies being told to us.
One of the most famous liars and lie is from President Bill Clinton. He was lying to everyone when he said, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman.” Who was he trying to fool? We all know the outcome with that. Yet, he felt that since it was oral sex, it wasn’t sexual relation.
Even Hillary Clinton was in hot water when she was questioned over Benghazi. She made the comment, “What difference does it make?” She was hiding the truth from coming out just hoping she would get elected President.
Al Gore, himself, lied when he said, “I invented the internet.”
Back to Joe Biden, he lied and is still lying when the facts came out involving his involvement with Hunter Biden’s illegal business dealings. Joe Biden said, “I have nothing to do with my son’s business.” When it has been proven that he had received money into his bank account from Hunter’s illegal business with China and Ukraine. Joe Biden even said, “My son, Hunter, is a good boy.” Then again all parents have to say that about their kids.
The list is numerous. In other words, I could go on and on, but I think you get the message. Not just George Santo lied, but everyone of them in Washington had lied one way or another. He shouldn’t had been the only one expelled. It should also be up to the American people to make the right decision. They also needs all the facts given to them from the news media. They need the whole story and not what the news media choose to tell the American people.
As my mother would say, “You can go to hell for lying as you can for anything else.”
