Lied to!!

We all have been lied to in one way or another. Most recently, we have been lied to during the Pandemic by the mainstream news media, our government on the Left and Dr. Nazi Fauci.

LIE: a false statement.

TRUTH: the quality or state of being true.

that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality.

a fact or belief that is accepted as true.

As George Washington said, “I shall not tell a lie. I did cut down the cherry tree.”

Now that is unheard of by today’s politicians.

Growing up, we were taught that honesty is the best policy. Yet, it seems like more and more today people are less honest. People would rather hear lies than the truth. It seems like the truth hurts. It’s not politically correct to be totally honest these days. You might hurt someone feelings by being honest with them.

Take for example: Simon Cowell, he was brutally honest to the contestants on American Idol and America’s got Talant, and was criticized for it.

You may wonder why I’m holding up this book if I’m not making reference to it in this blog. Hopefully, you will see why in the next 2 blogs; with the direction I’m going with this. It may seems like I’m lying by not using this book as reference but hopefully, you’ll see I’m not.

Let us look at President Bill Clinton when he said, “I did not have sexual relation with that woman.” It was his definition of sexual relation that made him say that. We all know different though.

That’s what is different with telling a lie and telling the truth. It’s how you interpret it.

How about when the first George Bush Sr said, “Read my lips, no new taxes!” He wanted the people to know that he wasn’t lying. That is why some people would say, “read my lips.”

You can also tell through body language if a person is lying or not. If a person is lying they fidget because they are uncomfortable. When Pinocchio would tell a lie his nose would grow. That was used a lot to tell if a person was lying or not.

There are some who are a chronic liar; so that doesn’t always work. Once a liar is always a liar. In other words, if you are good at lying, you can cover it up very easily. If you are not good at lying, people will see right through you. It depends on if you have a poker face or not.

Like if a person is joking with a straight face, it’s hard to tell if they are joking or serious. Now that is hard to determine.

Let us use this for an example: Let’s say your wife or girlfriend asked you if the outfit they are wearing makes them look fat. Now guys, you don’t want to be honest with her with your answer; you could be sleeping on the couch or in the doghouse because of your answer.

It used to be that honesty is the best policy; but not anymore. If you are applying for a job, there are somethings left unsaid. For example: people who have been in prison do not want to come out and admit they were. They may not get hired. This is probably why there is a high turnover rate for those in prison; because they are not given a chance. That is a crying shame!

Just like if you don’t admit to a disability you may have that could interfere with you doing the job.

You are not supposed to lie to your employer; but yet your employer may lie to you if they decide to get rid of you for some reason. They’ll do it in away that you can’t dispute it.

I’m not real good at lying. I don’t have a good poker face. Some people can become good at it though.

During the Pandemic, whenever someone would post anything on Twitter or Facebook involving the virus or the vaccine, they would get shut down by the fact checker, saying that you were lying. Some will end up in Facebook jail because of it.

Yet, even though Dr. Nazi Fauci was constantly lying about the origin of the virus and the vaccine, people choose to believe him over the truth. It seems more and more people are choosing to believe lies over the truth. They don’t want to hear the truth. They don’t want to admit that they were wrong all along. Who does wants to admit they were wrong all along?

Just think when the truth finally does come out over the virus and the vaccine, those who have been lying to us will have eggs on their faces.

A person who lies constantly, have to keep on lying to keep up the appearance. Once you tell a lie, it will get bigger and bigger just to cover up the first lie.

People would rather be told a lie than the truth. They would believe the lies being told them even when they do hear the truth.

Stay tune for next week part 2 blog, when I will give you 5 jobs in which people seems to get away with lying. It may or may not surprise you.
