The Dying Citizen is essential reading for any American who cares about the fate of our nation. We’ll take a look at how the Progressive Elites, Tribalism, and Globalization are destroying the idea of America.

In this fast growing pace that we’re going through, America is in the process of losing their way. The baby boomer and the older generations are dying off and so is their tradition. The tradition of good work ethics are coming to an end. Ever since the Pandemic, the older generation chose to retire if they could, and the younger generations are refusing to get to work. Many choose to worked from home as well.

To be self-governing, citizens must be economically autonomous, but the evisceration of the middle class, and the rise of inequality have had many Americans dependent on the federal government. Citizenship exists within delineated borders-but open borders and the elites concept of “global citizenship exists within.

Today only a little more than half the world’s 7 billion people are citizens of fully consensual governments enjoying constitutionally protected freedom.

In return for our rights to pick our own leaders and make our own laws, we are asked to obey America’s statues. We must honor the traditions and customs of our country.

Refusing to kneel during the national anthem or to salute the stars and stripes is not illegal, but it is not sustainable for the nation’s privileged to sit is not illegal.

Rulers came to power by hereditary succession, coups, revolutions, civil wars, assassinations, religious revelations and palace intrigues. Nonviolent political change was rare and usually entailed succession of rulers by children or immediate relatives.

Is that because the closer we arrive to full racial, ethic, class, gender, and religious equality, the more we are damned for nearing but not quite achieving our utopian ideals? A culture whose citizens can monitor the world with iPhones surely cannot tolerate neanderthals who are still biased or tribal.

While Americans sense that their constitutional rights are in jeopardy, they are not always aware of what exactly they are losing.

Many Americans do not know or worry much about the consequences of radical demographic, cultural, or political influences for the status of citizenship.

It used to be the Republicans was the party of the rich and the Democrats was the party of the poor. Now that had changed as of lately. Now the Democrats is the party of Big Tech and Big Corporation. Yet, there are some Democrats who refused to see that.

When George W. Bush was President, the “Tea Party” movement had begun. The “Tea Party” is part of the Republican party who fought against the Establishment in Washington. The Establishment is also known as the “Rhino”. That soon gave way for Donald Trump to enter the Republican party and make a change of the Republicans.

In 2016, the Rhino Republicans wanted Jeb Bush but the American people had other things in mind. Donald Trump, the “Tea Party” candidates, and non-political candidate were faring better than Jeb Bush and Rhino-Republicans. Then this past election, the American people had spoken loud and clear against the Establishment in Washington, when they elected Donald Trump for a a second term. It looks like the old Republicans party was dying; when in fact, they needed a revival so to speak.

They are not the only one who got a wake up call though. The Democrats is also getting their wake up call as well. The Democrats have become known as the “Progressive.” They have become the party in favor of Big government and Big Tech.

In a way,you can thanked Donald Trump for the changes within both parties. The Democrats are now a bunch of crying Liberals. The only real plans they have is to stop Donald Trump. The Democrats is hurting themselves right now. If they don’t see what they are doing to themselves, it may take years to recover. The Democrats could be done as we know it.

A similar thing happened to the Republicans before the Great Depression and the Republicans according to history. When Herbert Hoover made a certain statement, it took over 20 years before a Republican won a Presidential election with Dwight Eisenhower. That’s why it’s important to learn from our history; otherwise we are doomed to repeat it. It just seemed that the Democrats would rather changed history rather than learn from it. If the Democrats doesn’t catch on, they may find it difficult to get elected. If they continue the same route they are taking that is. If they don’t win future election, they will just blame Trump instead seeing their errors.

The younger generations don’t have the same work ethics as the older generations did. They want more money for less work and less hours. Most of them are choosing to live at home with their parents and be on social media and their smartphone. I don’t know about you, but it scares me to know that they will be taking care of us in the nursing home and hospital. Our cane would become our weapons against them.

There is a lack of respect and patriotism from our younger generation as well. When I was in school, every morning, we stood up for the Pledge of Allegiance. We stood up for the flag and had respect. We thanked those who served in the military.

President Reagan was the last President who was a Nationalist. The first George Bush was a Globalist and we had Globalist as President ever since,up until now, when Donald Trump was elected. He’s a Nationalist as well.

The current conflict of visions will likely soon determine the future of the United States. The country will remain one inhabited by millions of quite different looking Americans, unifying and coalescing as citizens of one culture. Or it will become something quite different, something far more typical of nations abroad that are defined by either race or chaos.

Right now, those on the left like to throw the race cards in our face if you don’t agree with them. They are likely to call you racist. I don’t know about you, but that’s more racist.

Why has the twenty-first century American race and gender victimization supplanted doctrinaire Marxist class oppression in the culture of existence against Establishment norms? While white male billionaires like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg need only concede the unfairness of the system they had mastered for their own benefit-and then put a percentage of their billions in the service of race and sex equality-to be part of the revolution.

I could go on with this but, I will save it for another blog down the road. A blog on stereotyping.

Is the Old America dying as the older generations are dying off? I think we are just getting a revival. This past election was the start of the revival for America. The American people had spoken loud and clear when they voted for Donald Trump and he had the biggest popular votes since Ronald Reagan. The American people from the Midwest stop listening to people from California and New York. They stop listening to the fake mainstream news media as well. They turned their back on Hollywood stars who are promoting globalism. What do you think? I would like to hear from you. If you agree, press the like and/or leave a comment.

How many remembered studying cursive writing in school? How many remembered doing the long form in math to show your works and not allowed to used a calculator?

Back when I was in school,we had to learn cursive writing. The last 20 some years, students are not taught cursive writing for some reason. The reason for not teaching cursive is because it had become outdated. Typing is a current skill that students need. One educator said, “there is only so much time in the school day. Most documents are signed online now, which even further makes the point that new skills are necessary for our students to be productive in this century.”

The bad thing about all that, not everyone are computer savvy. There are still going to be people working these low blue-collared jobs, where they have to write in cursive. If they’re not taught that, how can they do it?

When I was in high school starting at the seventh grade, we were told that calculators are not allowed in math class. We had to show our works by doing the long form to solve a math problem. In the 1970’s with a fair amount of debate about their effect on learning, calculators slowly began to enter the classroom. It wasn’t until 1986 that Connecticut became the first state to require calculator to allow students to solve more complex problems. So you see, it was after I graduated from high school that calculators were allowed in math class. I even remembered not being allowed to used a calculator in college math class.

In this blog, I will be discussing the book, “The Dumbest Generation Grows Up from Stupefied Youth to Dangerous Adults” by Mark Bauerlein. It seems that the younger generations lack common sense. As my dad would say, “You can be book smart but not street smart.” Back in 2008, Mark Bauerlein was a voice crying in the wilderness. As experts greeted the new generation of digital natives with extravagant hopes for their high tech future, he pegged them as the “Dumbest Generation.” Today, their future doesn’t look so bright, and their present is pretty grim. Those in their 20’s, who spent their childhoods staring into a screen are lonely and purposeless, unfulfilled at work and home. Many of them are even suicidal. Lacking skills, knowledge, religion, and cultural frame of reference.

Millennials are anxiously looking for something to fill the void. Their mentors have failed them. Unfortunately, they have turned to politics plug the hole in their souls. Knowing nothing about history, they are convinced that it is merely a catalogue of oppression, inequality, and hatred. They even wondered has the human race not ended all this injustice before now?

The Millennials became the first Americans to come of age in the digital age, the cutting edge of the tech revolution. They are ready to think globally and renounce prejudice and fashion their profiles to achieve, follow their passions and be all that they can be-but ending up behind the Starbucks counter or doing contract work, living with their parents or in a house with 4 friends, nonetheless lonely and mistrustful, with no thoughts of marriage and children, no weekly church attendance or civic memberships, more than half of them convinced that their country is racist and sexist.

After all, if Millennials were individuals who could think and process information fundamentally differently from their predecessors, their minds conditioned to operate in alternative ways by digital immersion in their developing years, then the opinions of Boomers and Generation Xers of what the kids proceeded to do wasn’t altogether relevant.

How many in my generation is so afraid that these younger generations will be taking care of us in our old age; while we are in need of nursing homes care and hospital care? How many feels that their cane will become a weapon to beat these younger generations to take better care of us or else?

These younger generations don’t have the respect their elders attitude. They are more likely to be looking down on their smartphones at social media rather than looking out for others or doing their jobs, whatever it may be. Ever since the Pandemic, it has been hard to get people back to work. The older generation, those who can chose to retire; while the younger generation chose not to get a job. Most of them are still living at home with their parents and they expect their parents to continue taking care of them.

I had my first paying job when I was 13 years old, picking berries at Grandrude’s fruit farm, near our farm. It was a summer job. We were shocked when my mother said that we were getting a part-time job. it wasn’t because our family needed the money-it was to teach us the value of hard work and money. Then when I was in the 8th grade, I gave up my study hall to worked the school cafeteria.

How could the older and wiser ignore the dangers of adolescents reading fewer books and logging more screen hours? How could they not realize that social media would flood the kids with youth culture and peer pressure day and night, blocking the exposure to adult matters and fresh ideas and a little high art that used to happen all the time?

The tycoons of social media have to stop pretending that they are friendly nerd-gods building a better world and admit that they are just tobacco farmers in T-shirts selling an addictive product to children. They are even using their influence on Social Media to win over votes. The Democrats were very big at doing this. They want to keep us dumb, that way they can control us better.

if you ever post some truths on Facebook, they would “fact check” you and shut you down for exposing the truth. They were indoctrinating our young people, much like Adolf Hitler did during World War 2. Indoctrinated is too often repeated an idea or belief to someone until they accept it without criticism.

Our schools are doing just that to control our minds. Now that parents have found out the truth and protest about it at school boards meeting; they are labeled domestic terrorists. This is one reason why I’m all for demolishing the Department of Education. Why I’m in favor of homeschooling over sending them to public schools. And I went to public schools!

Like the TV show, “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?” It should be: are you dumber than a 5th grader.

They heard their elders proclaim that the digital breakthrough had altered the way we think, read, and communicate.

If you say this to some younger generation, they are easily offended and get defensive. They don’t want to admit that it’s the truth.

I don’t know about you, but this scares the hell out of me, knowing that these younger generations will be taking care of us in our old age. Our cane will become our weapons;and we would have to use them to get them to put away their smartphone and do a better job in taking care of us.

if you agree with this,I want to hear from you. I want to hear your opinions. Your opinions matters! This is still a free country. What do you think? Are we smarter than a 5th grader? Is the younger generations becoming dumber?

April Fool’s Day is this Tuesday, April 1st. Are we easily fooled by the social media and the government? I’m here to tell you, we are nobody’s fool. Since the Pandemic, the American people had woken up and saw what was being done to our kids with being indoctrinated and such. They’re not domestic terrorist; but rather they are fighting back to take back this country from our corrupt government , social media, and our educators who are out there indoctrinating our kids.

Don’t let them fool you anymore! The future is in the hands of the younger generations, but our generation must first take a stand to protect them.

Most people knows that you can cook with herbs; but not many knows what else you can use herbs for. Herb gardens were the grocery stores, spice cabinets, and pharmacies of our ancestors. The common uses of herbs since ancient times have included: aphrodisiacs, aromatherapy, cosmetics, decorative arrangements, dye, embalming, perfumes, pest repellents, poisons, ritual burning, smoking.

Throughout the ages, people have gathered herbs and used them for sustenance and healing. Wild plants first ensure people’s survival, than cultivated plants evolved and became an indispensable part of the household. The reason for growing and using herbs-beauty for gardens, flavor for foods, fragrance for homes, and well-being for bodies-have endured and expanded worldwide.

Specialty herbs, such as coriander, lemongrass, and garlic once residents only in their native Asian lands, are available to anyone with a little garden space.

Herbs inspire gardeners to express their creativity. it’s fun and satisfying to use the plants in do-it-yourself projects such as home spa treatments, aromatic sachets, decorative wreaths, and cleaning products. When you use them as cleaning products, it’s better for the environment and your health because you’re not breathing in all the poisonous chemicals you get from the cleaning supplies out there.

These days you can easily find fresh and dried herbs at your local farmers market, grocery stores, and natural foods shop, such as Natural Groceries and Tochi.

Preserving herbs, such as sage, rosemary, and thyme for later use is as easy as snipping a bunch of stems and setting them aside to air-dry.

Any references to the use of a plant should not be construed as medical advice. Understanding what herbs do, how they work, and how you react to them is the common sense way to use herbs safely. Not all doctors are in favor of the use of herbs for medical purposes though. It cuts into their cost of them making any money themselves. Some doctors would rather that you purchase their medications over using herbs for healing.

During the Pandemic, I have been using elderberry syrup and ginger roots to strengthen my immune system. It’s the natural way of healing. The medical industry and Pharmaceutical would rather a person shoot themselves full of poisons created in the lab. To them, it’s all about making money by distributing drugs. Doctors will even pushed taking chemo to battle cancer. All the chemo does is make a person sicker. If I ever get cancer, I will not take chemotherapy. They promote shots for every sickness out there. They want you to get the Covid vaccine and the flu shots.

Now I’m against that and could get in lots of trouble because of working in a hospital if they knew that I’m against getting the vaccine and flu shots. I put off getting the poison for COVID as long as I could. When I couldn’t put off getting getting it anymore, I got an advice to take lemon juice to dilute the poison from my system. There are some doctors that were against getting the vaccine and some were fired because of it. These are the doctors who would promote the use of herbs as medicines instead of trusting the lab and science.

There are some favorite herbs out there. I will name a few: lavender, rosemary, mint, basil, aloe, fennel, garlic, marjoram, tarragon, sage, thyme.

Do you know that taking mint and peppermint will soothes your upset stomach? It’s better for you than taking Rolaids and Tums.

Dreaming of a garden? Herbs shine as versatile plants that enhance any type of garden or landscape design. It brings you joy. It suits your home style and your personality. It’s offer something for everyone in the household and creates beautiful views. They demands little upkeep. They even fit into your budget. It’s much cheaper than the medications the doctors would prescribe you. You can grow them in your apartment or house; along with growing them outside.

They are the best pollinator friendly plants. Their pollen and nectar attracts and sustain the beneficial visitors who help add color and life to any garden.

Using plants for food and home remedies is part of their cultural upbringing of sharing recipes and practicing folk medicine to keep the Lithuanian oral tradition alive.

Herbs are among the easiest plants to grow. They’re mostly vigorous and have few problems with pests and diseases.

When deciding which plants you will grow, get to know them up close. Brush your hand gently over the leaves to get a whiff of a plant, nibble a leaf to learn about its flavor and intensity.

Flower pots provide the most manageable and convenient way to start an herb garden. They make any apartments or home more beautiful in the process.

Harvest herbs at the peak of their glory and use them fresh or preserve the bounty for future pleasures.

It all starts with a little plant. Next thing you know, you’re snipping leaves, inhaling heady aromas, and turning ordinary food into marvelously delicious dishes. They also make great tea and aromatic cocktails. I prefer drinking herbal tea to help me relax. Before writing my blog,I would make myself a cup of herbal tea. It relaxes me. When I was a child, I would put sugar in my tea;now that I’m older, I prefer it unsweetened.

The best healing is natural healing as with herbs. It’s cheaper than any medications the doctors will prescribe you. Make sure that you find a doctor who is also in favor of herbs as well. They’re not in it for the money but rather keeping us healthy. They are not out there to shoot you full of every poisons out there. It would keep you out of the hospital and help you live longer than any medications the doctors may prescribe. I could be out of a job since I worked in a hospital if they knew this about me.

Last week, I talked about how to protect yourself from these criminals either on the streets or online. This week, I will delve into the DOGE’s investigation by Elon Musk and President Trump. Those on the Left are crying about it to the point of losing their minds over the fact that they are being investigated for corruption. They even have people taking their side by saying what Elon Musk is doing is unconstitutional. They don’t think that Elon Musk has any rights to investigate. They don’t like anyone looking into their bank records. In other words, they don’t want to see that the government is just corrupt. They put their trust in the government.

Now as taxpayers, we have every rights to know how our tax dollars are being spent. We have rights to see the wasteful spending going on in Washington by our government. That way we can cut the wasteful spending. The majority of the American people, and I’m one of them; those who elected Donald Trump very much want this investigation done to cut the wasteful spending.

DOGE: it’s to streamline government, eliminate waste, and upgrade our critical infrastructure. It’s the Department of Government Efficiency, headed up by Elon Musk under President Trump’s administration. It’s reduce federal spending.

It’s job is to organize massive layoffs of federal workers, accessing data from multiple federal agencies, terminating funding related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and climate change initiatives, foreign aid, consumer financial protect, and scientific research.

DOGE is controversial and has spawned opposition and lawsuits. Critics argue that Musk’s role violates the Constitution. The members of the Democratic party challenged DOGE’s authority and some call its actions a coup. Some say that Musk’s potential conflicts of interest.

This is the first time that someone actually committed to this investigation of wasteful spending by our government; but there have been other political candidates who promised to this but once elected forget about their promised to the American people. Even the Democrats themselves had promised a similar program to know avail and criticism.

When Bill Clinton was President, he promised a similar program to investigate wasteful spending by our government. Since he was a Democrat, he wasn’t criticized for it. Even President Obama also had a similar program install as well. Both time, not much was done like it is now. There is more heat behind it now that President Trump and Elon Musk are pushing the investigation.

There are people criticizing the massive layoffs of the Federal Government workers; but when there was a massive layoffs of workers on the Keystone Pipeline, they didn’t complained. They just told them that they can get another job. To them, I say the same thing, “just get another job.”

DOGE is investigating root out waste, shore up vulnerable payment systems, and schemes to defraud the taxpayers. They are investigating the IRS, Social Security, foreign aids, and scientific research. They are even investigating our government officials taking bribes from companies such as big Pharma, food processing and medical professional. People like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar have taken money from Big Pharma. When confronted about it, they argued that it wasn’t so. They are really big at pushing the investigation to stop.

They have discovered people as old as 105 or older collecting Social Security. In reality, those people are probably dead but still receiving money for Social Security. They are probably using them to steal votes as well in the elections.

There are some people complaining about the charitable organization is being accused of fraud under the DOGE’s investigation. They think what they are doing is a good thing. In reality, the money they collect is not going to help the people who actually needs it. Those behind it are pocketing the money for themselves.

Whenever I make a donation to help others, I make sure that I do it through my church. By going through the church, it’s more likely the money would actually get to the people who really needs it. If you donate through any organization, there’s no guarantee it will actually get to the people who actually needs it. My pastor is agreement with that. When I donate to help in Haiti, I do it through my church rather than through the government.

Our Congressman and Senators don’t make a lot of money but they get lots in kickbacks. That’s how they can afford huge mansions and fly around in their jets. They are included in inside trading involving stocks. Remembered, Martha Stewart was accused and went to prison for it. Even though that prison was a country club prison. They need to be investigated as well. People like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden.

Before 9/11 happened in 2001, President George W. Bush already had firsthand knowledge about it. So when it happened, he wasn’t surprised at all. He needs to be investigated along with Vice-President Dick Cheney because of it.

These scandals are worse than Watergate and Whitewater. They are investigating the conspiracy behind President John F. Kennedy and Sen. Robert Kennedy’s assassination. They are also looking into Jeffrey Epstein list involving child sex ring.

We the people has the right to know where our tax dollars are going. I’m all for Elon Musk doing this investigation; so that President Trump can cut wasteful spending. I believe that our forefathers, President Kennedy and President Reagan would be proud with DOGE. We must pray for protection for President Trump and Elon Musk as they continue investigating into government wasteful spending. By doing this, maybe they can cut our taxes.

It has been revealed about $80 million in wasteful spending was discovered. They needs to keep it up. They needs to investigate the war in Ukraine as well. Who actually started that war and how much money was spent wastefully?

Then they wondered why some people have a mistrust of the government. I was raised not to trust the government. My step-dad didn’t trust the government himself. That’s one of the reason why he didn’t patented what he had created. If he had done that, my family would had been better off financially. I believed that he would be excited about what DOGE is doing.

There’s so much work needed to be done by DOGE and so little time to get it done. A lot had already been done so far. Elon Musk is working for free to investigate government waste. Leave him alone, so he can do his job that the American people hired him to do. It’s our money and we the people have the rights to know where it’s actually going.

The bad guys are everywhere and how can you protect yourself from them?

In the 70’s, a person could go walking in the dark in Fargo, North Dakota and not be afraid. You could even do that in the 90’s. When did this all change for Fargo?

You didn’t need to locked your doors to your home and/or car years ago. Back then, you knew your neighbors and they watched out for each others. The kids played together. If you went vacation, your neighbors would watched your place for you. It just seems that people doesn’t take the chance to get to know their neighbors anymore. What used to be neighborhood party, now there is a tall fence between the 2 neighbors; so that cannot see over the other side.

The bad guys are using your phone, your computer, filling your email, mining your info, tricking your love ones, impersonating you, and plotting their next steal.

A quote from Sun-Tzu says, “Know thy enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles, you will never be defeated.”

Make no mistakes about it: we are at war with a growing industry of fraud. Thanks to timely technology and timeless greed, scam pitches have escalated to the point that most pitches every other day, each of us is forced to contend with fraudulent emails, texts, social media posts and phone calls.

Fraud starts with information about you. It can be easily and cheaply bought in an underground marketplace.

There are more than 15 billion pieces of stolen personal data. The average person logs in to nearly 200 sites that require passwords or other information.

You can fight back by taking these steps; set up your digital accounts to multifactor authentication, freeze your credit at the 3 major credit bureaus, do not save credit card numbers online, activate biometric locks or fingerprints on your cell phones, use antivirus software, and try not to have your phone numbers involved in too many online accounts.

Criminal call center from around the world may be dialing your number soon. If it sound too good to be true, you are probably dealing with an amateur.

Ignore phone calls from numbers you don’t know. Never make quick decision when it involves money. Listen for telltale words and phrases like “insider information.” Crooks can also reach you through social media or email newsletter. Before committing to any investment check their credentials.

Stealing your money is only half the battle for cyber crooks.Let’s take a look at some of the hottest scams.

Google voice scam-never share verification codes with anyone. Rental assistance cons-as eviction bans in cities and state expire, renter should be on the lookout for rental assistance scams. Fake Amazon employees-ignore calls, text messages, emails and social media messages about suspicious account activity. Cryptocurrency ATM payments. Local tax impostors. Favor for a friend gift cards-double check with your friend to make sure. P2p payment requests-only send money to friends and family.

Never buy gift cards for any purpose other than to give as a gift, Use credit cards for all online transactions, they will with protection. Don’t pay for goods and services with cryptocurrency. Never send cash through the mail.

Organized crimes are becoming more and more lately.

Watch out for medicare scammers! Never give your medicare number to anyone. If someone offers you free genetic testing in person or online, it’s a scam. If someone calls and promises you COVID-19 tests hang up the phone. Medicare will not reach out to you regarding enrollment.

Bad boys, bad boys, who are you going to call when they come looking for you? Crimes are at an all-time high. The polices are overwhelm and underpay because of the defund the police movement by the Democrats. Under the Biden’s administration, we have criminals and terrorist entering this country illegally with the help of the cartels. Our Liberals DA and judges are setting these criminals free with the help of George Soros.

Thank God we got a President who is cracking down on these criminals. Thank God that we got Elon Musk and the DOGE investigation going on involving corrupt government officials. Those on the Left are crying about it.

Stay tuned to next week, Bad Boys part 2; in which I will delve into DOGE’s investigation. This will definitely make those on the Left cry even more.

Do you work for a jerk or a decent manager? What type of manager do you work for? How can you manage your manager?

This blog will be off the book, “Managing Your Manager,” by Gonzague Dufour. Is your boss a go-to person? Can you talk to your manager? This book and blog will show how to get ahead with any type of boss. There are managers of all types that can provide invaluable learning experiences that can enhance your career. Managing your manager empowers you with the knowledge, skills, and savvy for dealing with any type of boss and excelling in your job.

This is a time of tremendous stress in most workplaces. Organizations are pressuring managers to deliver better results with fewer people; they’re asking them to work in new, flattened structures; they’re insisting on diversity initiatives; they’re rotating people in and out of groups frequently; and they’re introducing new technologies that take some getting used to.

The best of environments, bosses can be challenging to deal with. In the worst of environments, they can be more than challenging-frustrating, perplexing, aggravating, and impossible.

Most bosses today work in highly stressful environments. Is there a lot of stress where you worked?

In this blog, I will give you details of some types of managers. Then you can see where your boss lies. Some people deal with a difficult boss by gritting their teeth and toughing it out. They are unhappy in the relationship, not learning much and not doing their best work, but they hang in there for a variety of reasons- their boss will retire or get another job soon. This is one of reasons for a high turnover in employment. If the manager is a jerk, they cannot keep the help; no matter what the pay or benefits may be. Yet these managers cannot see that they are the problems. They think that it’s the workers fault. Even the human resources office cannot see the problems. I remembered working at Kmart, and we had to do a survey reviewing our manager. When it got back to him, he called a morning meeting, chewing us out. He couldn’t understand why he got such a poor reviews from the employees.

Let’s take a look at different type of managers.

The first one is the BULLY. The word bully connotes a number of negative traits, but like all boss archetypes, this one is a mixture of positives and negatives-you don’t get one without the other. These managers have unexpected bursts of anger, and their volatility contributes to their intimidating presence. They are constantly angry all the time. The employees are walking on eggshells when they are there in the office. I know a manager like that. The joke going around when he was around was don’t disturb “Sleeping Beauty!” If another department deliver a better result, they can be intensely competitive, and may erupted. At times, the Bully micromanaged when he should have supervised. This manager would sit on his ass in his office rather than get out and worked with the employees. His office door is closed and locked if he’s not there. Those who do get along with the Bully tended to be either jaded or highly ambitious. They can lose their tempers and be intimidating at times. Does your manager evokes fear, respect, and fascination? The Bully can be a challenging manager to manage. They are impossible to work for.

The GOOD! They are considerate, reasonable, logical and knowledgeable. They inspire leadership. They are not a 24/7 manager. They separate their work from their private life. They are decent and competent. They are not afraid to get their hands dirty and dig right into the job.

The KALEIDOSCOPE are difficult to grasp. Working for them can be a challenge because you feel like you’re working for 5 different bosses. Don’t try to play with this type of boss! Don’t believe everything he tells you!

The STAR is dynamic and dramatic. They can also be difficult but never boring. They have no problem challenging the status quo and they can shake things up a little. They hate anything that would cause delays, such as: meetings, bureaucracy/red tape, a series of presentations, slow software, discussion that circle endlessly around a point, indecisive managers, and paperwork.

Imagine working with people like Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, Donald Trump, Elon Musk or any other Charismatic leader. You better enjoy the ride, try to steer rather than control, and be precise. Don’t be disloyal, don’t be a naysayer, don’t talk back. Be a good little soldier!

The SCIENTIST relies on theories. They talks a good game. They make a great show of listening but don’t really hear anything you say. They are easily distracted and may allow meetings to drag on or go off on tangents. A pastor is a prime example of this. Don’t be overly emotional, don’t be afraid to ask for more precise direction, don’t assume his support is unconditional and unlimited.

The NAVEL challenge your own values. They tends to runs a business and/or family like a military, my step-dad for instance. They tend to be ruthlessness: they are not averse in throwing people under the bus. They are highly decisive without second guessing themselves. They have a hard time in admitting they are wrong. They are more a doers than a thinkers. They have the self-confidence and the desire to be in the spotlight, and can be an excellent salesperson.

Which of these type of managers do you worked for?

Now days people doesn’t stick with a job very long, especially the younger generation. They have a tendency to jump quickly for any reasons. My generations or older will stick with a job no matter how bad the atmosphere may be. That is the way I was raised.

When I finally left Kmart, I had a better job offer at the right time. I saw the writing on the wall of Kmart closing up shop. Now I got a good paying job with benefits, like health insurance and retirement. Even though, we had a horrible boss, I stuck with it because of the benefits and being so closed to retirement. I do encourage someone younger to do so if they’re not happy; because they got plenty of time.

We have a better manager and supervisor now than what we had. We are not walking on eggshells like we used too. You can talked with your manager and supervisor now. I had some good manager and some horrible manager.

I mentioned before in another blog, the executive chef at the Fargo Country Club treated the workers good and worked with them. He was one of the good one. It was hard to leave but you knew you had to for a better paying job with benefits.

I also enjoyed working at the Fargo Dome. When the time comes for me to retire, I would still work there part time to keep busy and make a little extra spending money. There’s less stress.

This is unusual for a Valentine’s blog to have a 2 part; but this is part 2. last week when I wrote part 1, finding true love. In this blog, I will ask if you are a cheap or generous lover.

Valentine’s Day is a romantic day of the year. On this day, a guy would proposed to the one they love. They would go all out to make that day very special as they get ready to pop the questions, in hoping she or he would say yes. The first thing they would do is find the perfect ring. They would saved up money for the ring put it on their credit card. Some may have their mother’s ring to used to propose. That person has to be someone very special to do that though.

After getting the ring, they would set up the most romantic way of proposing. They would buy them flowers and chocolate. They would take them out to a fancy restaurant, no fast food place. They will have either wine or champagne. Some may even have music playing at their table before popping the the question. Some may even do the cooking themselves. They may hide the ring in the dessert in hoping that they will find it before choking on it. Some may put rose petals trail leading to the bedroom and bed of roses. As a rule, a guy would get down on one knee to propose.

You tell me if this sounds romantic. My mother thought it was romantic when my step-dad proposed to her. My mother and I were living in a house in North Fargo, when he entered the house and sat beside her on her bed. He said, “Marry me or you’ll never see me again.” When she told us kids this, we just looked at her and said, “No mom, that was not romantic.” We thought that she should had said, “by then.”

After the proposal, comes the wedding. Some may decided to get married on Valentine’s Day. I had been to a Valentine’s Day wedding.

If you love someone, you must be willing to spend money to win their love. That’s the commercial behind Valentine’s Day. You cannot be cheap or you may chased them away.

My real father was very cheap. One time, someone dropped a quarter and he put his foot over it and asked my mother to pick it up for him. Luckily, she didn’t do it; so he waited until that person left and then bent down to pick it up.

Another example was when the 3 of us went out. My mother ordered vegetables with my meal. He blurted out that a burger and fries would had been enough. The only thing my real father paid for was the hospital where I was born. He had money too. I got more from my step-dad than I did my real father.

Luckily, I didn’t inherited his cheapness. I’m usually quite generous when it comes to buying for the ones I love. I’m usually a pretty good at buying gifts for others. I usually pretty much know the right gifts to buy.

I was raised to open a door for a lady. Even though, now days, some may take offense with anyone who would do that. Especially now days when women are more independent. It’s not about control, it’s about being polite and respectful.

Do you hold the door open for a woman? If you are a woman, how do you react to someone holding the door open for you?

Before sitting down at the table, do you pull out a chair for her?

If you really love someone, I hope that you are generous and not cheap. Treat them right and let them know that you love them.

I’m no expert on what love is. It’s hard to figure out women. I don’t even know if a person is going too fast or too slow.

This past Friday, February 14th was Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day has become too commercialize. This is the day that people would spend money for the person they love. People would buy cards and flowers. Usually a husband or boyfriend would spend money to take their wife or girlfriend out for a nice meal.

According to the world’s definition of love and romance, it’s all about being sexually active. There is more to love than just sex though.

You have to applaud young people who abstain to abstinence before marriage. There are some who would buy purity ring to remain pure until marriage. You have to applaud young girls who agreed to remain pure so they can wear white on their wedding day. Yet, at the same time; it’s not emphasize for boys remaining pure. For some reason, there is a stigma on women who have a lot of sexual partners, but society seems to look at it differently when it comes to men. We’ve allowed ourselves to be fooled into thinking that it’s acceptable because that’s what men do.

Valentine’s Day aside, television and films seem to fuel inappropriate and sensual messages designed to jeopardize the sexual purity of our children and young adults. We are bombarded by sex on television, in the movies, and in the music we listen to.

Boys are censored to how many time they score. There’s even such things as the walk of shame on college campuses. If boys doesn’t score, other boys may think that there is something wrong with them or that they are gay.

Whereas if girls are sexually active, they are labeled as a slut or easy.

Like I mentioned earlier,I haven’t been very lucky in the love department. I just can’t seem to understand my heart or what is considered too fast or too slow. Because of that I would lose out in finding my soul mate.

I had my first girlfriend when I was in the 6th grade. When I was in the 7th grade, I kissed that girl, named Janet. I got my face slap for it too.

When I was in college at NDSU, I was friend with an older college woman named Susan. She was a member of the NDSU Goldstar Band. We would eat supper together in the dining hall. One time, we went rollerskating at Skateland. As we were rollerskating, we would hold hands. Other boys in my dorm would joked and say that she was my girlfriend; even though we were just friends. I have to admit that I fell for peer pressure as a lot of boys and/or college men would do. I asked her if there was more to our relationship and was shot down. I didn’t knew my heart at the time.

Then years later, I became interested in a woman named Holly. Whenever we would talked on the phone, I loved hearing her voice. I even fantasied about marrying her and we had 2 boys. Before we met, she had a nervous breakdown. When we finally met, I soon realized that she was more like a sister than a girlfriend;so we broke it off. I soon learned that she eventually had a child. The thought went through my head that the child could had been mind, if only I didn’t mess up.

Then there was a woman named Theresa, who I had a crushed on; but I didn’t act on my feelings and lost out to her to my best friend. I didn’t recognized my feelings at that time. I soon learned that I was lucky to not get involved with her, because she would had driven me to the poorhouse. She broke my heart and stabbed me in the back in the process though.

There was a woman named Danielle, who lived in my old apartment building before the Pandemic. We would talked. One time she came into my apartment to used my phone. I overheard her conversation and saw how upset she was getting. When she was off the phone, I offered her a hug to comfort her. She was from a small town in Minnesota. One day, I made some margarita and brought some over to share with her.

Now it doesn’t have to be between a man and a woman. We don’t have to buy into the world’s definition of love and romance. If you are sexually active outside of marriage, stop. Think seriously what you are doing. As humans,we have a tendency to be sexually attracted to someone by their appearances or whatever. We are drawn to a person sex just for the sexual appetite we have. There’s more to a relationship than just sex though. According to the world’s standard, that is not the case though.

I have a confession here. I never thought it would happen. I never thought that I would become attached to this young man named Joey. I took him under my wings to look out for him. I even want to adopt him, since he was abused himself. I enjoyed hanging out with him. Somehow, I noticed a sexual attraction with him. He opened my eyes to things. He made an impact in my life. I hope I made a positive influence in his life also.

I noticed that I’m co-dependent. I’m usually drawn to someone who needs to be taken care. As I get to know someone and see that they have emotional problems, I feel a connection with that person. Not just with Joey, but with Danielle and Holly as well. If I see that they need someone to take care of them, I’m hooked. Maybe, I haven’t dealt with issues in my own life. Maybe that’s why I wasn’t able to find my soulmate and settled down.

This is a Valentine’s message to my readers. This is only part 1. Next week, will be part 2, looking at being a cheap or generous lover.

I may know what true love is; but I know what love ain’t. There’s more to love than just sex. At the same time, a relationship shouldn’t be depended on if that person needs someone to take care of them. When a person finds their soulmate, they will know it in their heart. But they have to be in tune with what the heart wants.

This is in honor of Carson Wentz.

As you know, yesterday was the big Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Carson Wentz was a backup Quarterback to Patrick Mahomes for the Kansas City Chiefs. Just a few years ago when the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the team to the Super Bowl but was injured. The score for that game was 41 to 33.

Everyone was excited to see the Eagles win that Super Bowl because of Carson Wentz, a North Dakota’s boy from NDSU. They were also excited to wiped the smug off Tom Brady’s face at the time. It was Carson Wentz first Super Bowl ring. A proud moment for North Dakota, putting them on the map.

Carson Wentz was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to North Dakota with his family at the age of 3. He played quarterback and defensive back for Century High School in Bismarck. As a freshman in high school, he was 5 feet 8 inches in height and grew to 6 feet 5 inches as a senior, when he graduated in 2011 as valedictorian of his class.

He attended North Dakota State University(NDSU). During his first season, he redshirt for the Bison as they won their first football championship subdivision title under ninth year head coach Craig Bohl.

As a redshirt freshman in 2012, Wentz was backup quarterback to Brock Jensen and played in his first collegiate game on September 22. He completed all eight of his passes for 93 yards and threw his first touchdown in relief of Jensen in a 66-7 blowout victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers.

In 2013, Wentz was again the second string quarterback. Then in his junior year he became the starting quarterback in 2014 in his first start in the opener against the Iowa State Cyclones of the Big 12 Conferences.

People in North Dakota were excited to have one of their own be chosen as first draft pick in the NFL.

Carson Wentz married Madison Oberg 2018. He’s 32 years old, born December 30, 1992. He has 3 daughters and is a Christian. He founded the AO1 Foundation in 2017. In 2018, he helped builds a sports complex in Haiti. He is an avid hunter and frequently returns to North Dakota to hunt.

Carson Wentz played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2016-2020, the Indiana Colts in 2021, the Washington Commanders in 2022, the Los Angeles Rams 2023, and now Kansas City Chiefs 2024 to present.

When he played for NDSU he was a good quarterback; but it seems when he went pro he wasn’t prepared for it. He had lots of injury when he went pro. It goes to show that when you play with the Big boys, you better be ready to play.

I wouldn’t say that he was the best quarterback in the NFL but he is North Dakota’s homeboy, and the people here are proud of him for going pro. Not many can do that. It takes someone special.

My prayer is that he never forget the grounds he grew up on. He never forget how he was raised, his upbringing. It seems that when fame goes to some people head, they seems to get a big head and forget where they came from. They forget their roots and become too big for their britches.

As I written before, Taylor Swift is prime example of that. She has now no class. She is an example of what happened when fame goes to your head.

May Carson Wentz stay grounded in his faith and never forget where he came from. Just like, even though my blog is small, when it does finally become successful, may I never forget where I came from. May I not get a big head in the process and become conceited. As the song by Mac David, “It’s Hard to be Humble.” May we remain humble; otherwise people will lose all respect for you.

It would had been nice for Carson Wentz to win another Super Bowl ring but that didn’t happen. The Philadelphia Eagles won with 40 Kansas City Chiefs at 22.

Patrick Mahomes said, “Never change who you are, and be the best you can be.” He told the quarterback for the Eagles to enjoy the ride. Now that’s classy. He didn’t get upset over losing the Super Bowl. He didn’t show poor sportsmanship, like Tom Brady did when the New England Patriots lost to the Eagles.

May that be not a just lesson to Carson Wentz but to us all.

Do you know that there is a better healthier way than doing what the doctor says or getting vaccinated for such things as Covid?

In this blog, I will be discussing The Modern Herbal Dispensatory: A Medicine-making guide.

Herbal medicine is one of the most ancient of the healing arts. It is, and always will be, the medicine of the people. Not even the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in all of its regularity glory can prevent someone from stepping out their door and using nature’s free medicine. Herbal medicine exists, and always has, because we live in symbiosis with plants. Now plants have been here longer than we have. They have learned their lessons and adapted to their environment, and they have produced a beautiful language to communicate those lessons with other plants, animals and fungi. The chemical compounds that plants produce, their biochemical language, is so complicated that we haven’t even scratched the surface in the thousand or so plants that have been researched, let alone the remaining tens of thousands of plants around the world that we used as medicine.

Although we may not understand how plants act chemically in our body, we have a long and well-documented history of their use as food and medicine. As we move toward a more sustainable world with clean energy production, locally grown organic foods, and nature conservation, we must look at our current model of medicine through the same filter of sustainability. A world that remains totally dependent on high-cost chemical medicines, controlled by multinational pharmaceutical companies whose main purpose is profit, is dependent upon the very institutions that created the environmental problems that are poisoning this world.

Bobby Kennedy Jr. is making waves as he is up for a cabinet post in the Department of Health. The Big Pharma, the process food industry, and the medical professionals are shaking out of fear if he gets in. Heads will roll! Our government officials are under the payroll of the Big Pharma, process food Industry, and the medical professionals. People like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Krobuchar are just 3 of them.

Any system of medicine that is separated from the greater whole of health, including food production, ecological health, social health, and emotional health, can only put a bandage on a bullet wound, conveniently masking the real issues that are slowly bleeding us to death. The rising costs for disease care and lack of access to care are taking a toll on everyone, and minorities and underprivileged groups bear the blunt of that burden. In America, disease care is the primary cause of financial ruin: nearly 2 million people file bankruptcy every year because of medical bills.

The government wondered why healthcare is so expensive and looks for ways to lower the cost of healthcare but yet they doesn’t look at other means of healthcare such as herbs and eating healthier by avoiding process food and putting poisons into our bodies. Before process food became prominent people were healthier. Once they started poisoning our food that we grow with chemicals we were healthier. It seems that people had gotten lazier and/or too busy to actually cook a home-cooked meals. America has been eating more junk food lately than ever before. Then they wondered why they are so sick all the time.

This started to change once women entered the workforce;but yet there was still some women who would still cook a home-cooked meal and worked outside the home. It goes to show that it can still be done. I grew up during the time that both my parents worked outside the home; but yet still had time to cooked a home-cooked meal. The generation now doesn’t take the time to do that anymore. They don’t have their priorities straight.

Medicinal plants grow everywhere and are easily available for harvest or purchase for a fraction of the cost of modern pharmaceuticals. As Reaganomics stands for the supply and demands. The more the demands for something, the more the supply for it will be. There is starting to be a demand for healthier organic food and herbs but the cost of it is still rather high for the poor working class. In the long run, it’s still much cheaper than healthcare you get from doctors and hospitals; and even the Big Pharma. Yet they are so afraid of losing money that they fight against anyone who would used herbs as medicines. They care more in making money rather than helping the people in the name of greed.

This even been a problem back during the Salem Witchcraft Trial. The women back then were accused of being witches because they were using herbs as medicines.

Mastering herbalism involves a lot of work. Many Native Americans used a cooled decoction of the whole herb as a digestive tonic for weak digestion. It all goes back to the fact that people do not have the time or make the time to eating healthier or making herbal medicines. They rather trust their doctors and science rather than what God intended with nature.

You think after the Pandemic, people would wise up and not trust science and doctors as they promote putting poisons into our body such as the Covid vaccine. I know that I could get a lot of slack for this because I worked in a hospital but I don’t care. We can bring the cost of healthcare down by eliminating process food, and stop putting poisons in our food. We just need to put our trust more into herbs over science. I mean, if it wasn’t for my job, I wouldn’t had gotten the poison that they call the vaccine. When the truth comes out that the vaccines had a bunch of side effects, the Big Pharma, medical professionals and the government would still deny the fact. Those who choose to believe them would also not admit it either.

During the Pandemic, I was taking elderberry syrup and ginger roots to keep healthy. When I had to get the poison, I was told to take real lemon juice to dilute the poison from my system. I was doing all I can to build up my immune system.

You see, our immune system is shot because of all the poison we put into our body.

Since I have been drinking almond milk, I can tell the difference in my body after drinking almond milk and regular milk. After drinking regular milk, I just feel blah.

I’m looking forward for Bobby Kennedy Jr to be the Secretary of the Department of Health. He’ll make some waves in the Big Pharma, the process food industry and the medical professionals. He might even bring down the cost of healthcare in the process.

The only true way to bring down the high cost of healthcare is get more people looking at eating healthier and organic. More people needs to look at herbs as medicines rather than trust their doctors and science. You do not to be drugged up but rather take more herbs instead.

SAY NO TO DRUGS AND SAY YES TO HERBS!!
