This is unusual for a Valentine’s blog to have a 2 part; but this is part 2. last week when I wrote part 1, finding true love. In this blog, I will ask if you are a cheap or generous lover.

Valentine’s Day is a romantic day of the year. On this day, a guy would proposed to the one they love. They would go all out to make that day very special as they get ready to pop the questions, in hoping she or he would say yes. The first thing they would do is find the perfect ring. They would saved up money for the ring put it on their credit card. Some may have their mother’s ring to used to propose. That person has to be someone very special to do that though.

After getting the ring, they would set up the most romantic way of proposing. They would buy them flowers and chocolate. They would take them out to a fancy restaurant, no fast food place. They will have either wine or champagne. Some may even have music playing at their table before popping the the question. Some may even do the cooking themselves. They may hide the ring in the dessert in hoping that they will find it before choking on it. Some may put rose petals trail leading to the bedroom and bed of roses. As a rule, a guy would get down on one knee to propose.

You tell me if this sounds romantic. My mother thought it was romantic when my step-dad proposed to her. My mother and I were living in a house in North Fargo, when he entered the house and sat beside her on her bed. He said, “Marry me or you’ll never see me again.” When she told us kids this, we just looked at her and said, “No mom, that was not romantic.” We thought that she should had said, “by then.”

After the proposal, comes the wedding. Some may decided to get married on Valentine’s Day. I had been to a Valentine’s Day wedding.

If you love someone, you must be willing to spend money to win their love. That’s the commercial behind Valentine’s Day. You cannot be cheap or you may chased them away.

My real father was very cheap. One time, someone dropped a quarter and he put his foot over it and asked my mother to pick it up for him. Luckily, she didn’t do it; so he waited until that person left and then bent down to pick it up.

Another example was when the 3 of us went out. My mother ordered vegetables with my meal. He blurted out that a burger and fries would had been enough. The only thing my real father paid for was the hospital where I was born. He had money too. I got more from my step-dad than I did my real father.

Luckily, I didn’t inherited his cheapness. I’m usually quite generous when it comes to buying for the ones I love. I’m usually a pretty good at buying gifts for others. I usually pretty much know the right gifts to buy.

I was raised to open a door for a lady. Even though, now days, some may take offense with anyone who would do that. Especially now days when women are more independent. It’s not about control, it’s about being polite and respectful.

Do you hold the door open for a woman? If you are a woman, how do you react to someone holding the door open for you?

Before sitting down at the table, do you pull out a chair for her?

If you really love someone, I hope that you are generous and not cheap. Treat them right and let them know that you love them.

I’m no expert on what love is. It’s hard to figure out women. I don’t even know if a person is going too fast or too slow.

This past Friday, February 14th was Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day has become too commercialize. This is the day that people would spend money for the person they love. People would buy cards and flowers. Usually a husband or boyfriend would spend money to take their wife or girlfriend out for a nice meal.

According to the world’s definition of love and romance, it’s all about being sexually active. There is more to love than just sex though.

You have to applaud young people who abstain to abstinence before marriage. There are some who would buy purity ring to remain pure until marriage. You have to applaud young girls who agreed to remain pure so they can wear white on their wedding day. Yet, at the same time; it’s not emphasize for boys remaining pure. For some reason, there is a stigma on women who have a lot of sexual partners, but society seems to look at it differently when it comes to men. We’ve allowed ourselves to be fooled into thinking that it’s acceptable because that’s what men do.

Valentine’s Day aside, television and films seem to fuel inappropriate and sensual messages designed to jeopardize the sexual purity of our children and young adults. We are bombarded by sex on television, in the movies, and in the music we listen to.

Boys are censored to how many time they score. There’s even such things as the walk of shame on college campuses. If boys doesn’t score, other boys may think that there is something wrong with them or that they are gay.

Whereas if girls are sexually active, they are labeled as a slut or easy.

Like I mentioned earlier,I haven’t been very lucky in the love department. I just can’t seem to understand my heart or what is considered too fast or too slow. Because of that I would lose out in finding my soul mate.

I had my first girlfriend when I was in the 6th grade. When I was in the 7th grade, I kissed that girl, named Janet. I got my face slap for it too.

When I was in college at NDSU, I was friend with an older college woman named Susan. She was a member of the NDSU Goldstar Band. We would eat supper together in the dining hall. One time, we went rollerskating at Skateland. As we were rollerskating, we would hold hands. Other boys in my dorm would joked and say that she was my girlfriend; even though we were just friends. I have to admit that I fell for peer pressure as a lot of boys and/or college men would do. I asked her if there was more to our relationship and was shot down. I didn’t knew my heart at the time.

Then years later, I became interested in a woman named Holly. Whenever we would talked on the phone, I loved hearing her voice. I even fantasied about marrying her and we had 2 boys. Before we met, she had a nervous breakdown. When we finally met, I soon realized that she was more like a sister than a girlfriend;so we broke it off. I soon learned that she eventually had a child. The thought went through my head that the child could had been mind, if only I didn’t mess up.

Then there was a woman named Theresa, who I had a crushed on; but I didn’t act on my feelings and lost out to her to my best friend. I didn’t recognized my feelings at that time. I soon learned that I was lucky to not get involved with her, because she would had driven me to the poorhouse. She broke my heart and stabbed me in the back in the process though.

There was a woman named Danielle, who lived in my old apartment building before the Pandemic. We would talked. One time she came into my apartment to used my phone. I overheard her conversation and saw how upset she was getting. When she was off the phone, I offered her a hug to comfort her. She was from a small town in Minnesota. One day, I made some margarita and brought some over to share with her.

Now it doesn’t have to be between a man and a woman. We don’t have to buy into the world’s definition of love and romance. If you are sexually active outside of marriage, stop. Think seriously what you are doing. As humans,we have a tendency to be sexually attracted to someone by their appearances or whatever. We are drawn to a person sex just for the sexual appetite we have. There’s more to a relationship than just sex though. According to the world’s standard, that is not the case though.

I have a confession here. I never thought it would happen. I never thought that I would become attached to this young man named Joey. I took him under my wings to look out for him. I even want to adopt him, since he was abused himself. I enjoyed hanging out with him. Somehow, I noticed a sexual attraction with him. He opened my eyes to things. He made an impact in my life. I hope I made a positive influence in his life also.

I noticed that I’m co-dependent. I’m usually drawn to someone who needs to be taken care. As I get to know someone and see that they have emotional problems, I feel a connection with that person. Not just with Joey, but with Danielle and Holly as well. If I see that they need someone to take care of them, I’m hooked. Maybe, I haven’t dealt with issues in my own life. Maybe that’s why I wasn’t able to find my soulmate and settled down.

This is a Valentine’s message to my readers. This is only part 1. Next week, will be part 2, looking at being a cheap or generous lover.

I may know what true love is; but I know what love ain’t. There’s more to love than just sex. At the same time, a relationship shouldn’t be depended on if that person needs someone to take care of them. When a person finds their soulmate, they will know it in their heart. But they have to be in tune with what the heart wants.

This is in honor of Carson Wentz.

As you know, yesterday was the big Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Carson Wentz was a backup Quarterback to Patrick Mahomes for the Kansas City Chiefs. Just a few years ago when the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles. He led the team to the Super Bowl but was injured. The score for that game was 41 to 33.

Everyone was excited to see the Eagles win that Super Bowl because of Carson Wentz, a North Dakota’s boy from NDSU. They were also excited to wiped the smug off Tom Brady’s face at the time. It was Carson Wentz first Super Bowl ring. A proud moment for North Dakota, putting them on the map.

Carson Wentz was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and moved to North Dakota with his family at the age of 3. He played quarterback and defensive back for Century High School in Bismarck. As a freshman in high school, he was 5 feet 8 inches in height and grew to 6 feet 5 inches as a senior, when he graduated in 2011 as valedictorian of his class.

He attended North Dakota State University(NDSU). During his first season, he redshirt for the Bison as they won their first football championship subdivision title under ninth year head coach Craig Bohl.

As a redshirt freshman in 2012, Wentz was backup quarterback to Brock Jensen and played in his first collegiate game on September 22. He completed all eight of his passes for 93 yards and threw his first touchdown in relief of Jensen in a 66-7 blowout victory over the Prairie View A&M Panthers.

In 2013, Wentz was again the second string quarterback. Then in his junior year he became the starting quarterback in 2014 in his first start in the opener against the Iowa State Cyclones of the Big 12 Conferences.

People in North Dakota were excited to have one of their own be chosen as first draft pick in the NFL.

Carson Wentz married Madison Oberg 2018. He’s 32 years old, born December 30, 1992. He has 3 daughters and is a Christian. He founded the AO1 Foundation in 2017. In 2018, he helped builds a sports complex in Haiti. He is an avid hunter and frequently returns to North Dakota to hunt.

Carson Wentz played for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2016-2020, the Indiana Colts in 2021, the Washington Commanders in 2022, the Los Angeles Rams 2023, and now Kansas City Chiefs 2024 to present.

When he played for NDSU he was a good quarterback; but it seems when he went pro he wasn’t prepared for it. He had lots of injury when he went pro. It goes to show that when you play with the Big boys, you better be ready to play.

I wouldn’t say that he was the best quarterback in the NFL but he is North Dakota’s homeboy, and the people here are proud of him for going pro. Not many can do that. It takes someone special.

My prayer is that he never forget the grounds he grew up on. He never forget how he was raised, his upbringing. It seems that when fame goes to some people head, they seems to get a big head and forget where they came from. They forget their roots and become too big for their britches.

As I written before, Taylor Swift is prime example of that. She has now no class. She is an example of what happened when fame goes to your head.

May Carson Wentz stay grounded in his faith and never forget where he came from. Just like, even though my blog is small, when it does finally become successful, may I never forget where I came from. May I not get a big head in the process and become conceited. As the song by Mac David, “It’s Hard to be Humble.” May we remain humble; otherwise people will lose all respect for you.

It would had been nice for Carson Wentz to win another Super Bowl ring but that didn’t happen. The Philadelphia Eagles won with 40 Kansas City Chiefs at 22.

Patrick Mahomes said, “Never change who you are, and be the best you can be.” He told the quarterback for the Eagles to enjoy the ride. Now that’s classy. He didn’t get upset over losing the Super Bowl. He didn’t show poor sportsmanship, like Tom Brady did when the New England Patriots lost to the Eagles.

May that be not a just lesson to Carson Wentz but to us all.

Do you know that there is a better healthier way than doing what the doctor says or getting vaccinated for such things as Covid?

In this blog, I will be discussing The Modern Herbal Dispensatory: A Medicine-making guide.

Herbal medicine is one of the most ancient of the healing arts. It is, and always will be, the medicine of the people. Not even the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in all of its regularity glory can prevent someone from stepping out their door and using nature’s free medicine. Herbal medicine exists, and always has, because we live in symbiosis with plants. Now plants have been here longer than we have. They have learned their lessons and adapted to their environment, and they have produced a beautiful language to communicate those lessons with other plants, animals and fungi. The chemical compounds that plants produce, their biochemical language, is so complicated that we haven’t even scratched the surface in the thousand or so plants that have been researched, let alone the remaining tens of thousands of plants around the world that we used as medicine.

Although we may not understand how plants act chemically in our body, we have a long and well-documented history of their use as food and medicine. As we move toward a more sustainable world with clean energy production, locally grown organic foods, and nature conservation, we must look at our current model of medicine through the same filter of sustainability. A world that remains totally dependent on high-cost chemical medicines, controlled by multinational pharmaceutical companies whose main purpose is profit, is dependent upon the very institutions that created the environmental problems that are poisoning this world.

Bobby Kennedy Jr. is making waves as he is up for a cabinet post in the Department of Health. The Big Pharma, the process food industry, and the medical professionals are shaking out of fear if he gets in. Heads will roll! Our government officials are under the payroll of the Big Pharma, process food Industry, and the medical professionals. People like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Amy Krobuchar are just 3 of them.

Any system of medicine that is separated from the greater whole of health, including food production, ecological health, social health, and emotional health, can only put a bandage on a bullet wound, conveniently masking the real issues that are slowly bleeding us to death. The rising costs for disease care and lack of access to care are taking a toll on everyone, and minorities and underprivileged groups bear the blunt of that burden. In America, disease care is the primary cause of financial ruin: nearly 2 million people file bankruptcy every year because of medical bills.

The government wondered why healthcare is so expensive and looks for ways to lower the cost of healthcare but yet they doesn’t look at other means of healthcare such as herbs and eating healthier by avoiding process food and putting poisons into our bodies. Before process food became prominent people were healthier. Once they started poisoning our food that we grow with chemicals we were healthier. It seems that people had gotten lazier and/or too busy to actually cook a home-cooked meals. America has been eating more junk food lately than ever before. Then they wondered why they are so sick all the time.

This started to change once women entered the workforce;but yet there was still some women who would still cook a home-cooked meal and worked outside the home. It goes to show that it can still be done. I grew up during the time that both my parents worked outside the home; but yet still had time to cooked a home-cooked meal. The generation now doesn’t take the time to do that anymore. They don’t have their priorities straight.

Medicinal plants grow everywhere and are easily available for harvest or purchase for a fraction of the cost of modern pharmaceuticals. As Reaganomics stands for the supply and demands. The more the demands for something, the more the supply for it will be. There is starting to be a demand for healthier organic food and herbs but the cost of it is still rather high for the poor working class. In the long run, it’s still much cheaper than healthcare you get from doctors and hospitals; and even the Big Pharma. Yet they are so afraid of losing money that they fight against anyone who would used herbs as medicines. They care more in making money rather than helping the people in the name of greed.

This even been a problem back during the Salem Witchcraft Trial. The women back then were accused of being witches because they were using herbs as medicines.

Mastering herbalism involves a lot of work. Many Native Americans used a cooled decoction of the whole herb as a digestive tonic for weak digestion. It all goes back to the fact that people do not have the time or make the time to eating healthier or making herbal medicines. They rather trust their doctors and science rather than what God intended with nature.

You think after the Pandemic, people would wise up and not trust science and doctors as they promote putting poisons into our body such as the Covid vaccine. I know that I could get a lot of slack for this because I worked in a hospital but I don’t care. We can bring the cost of healthcare down by eliminating process food, and stop putting poisons in our food. We just need to put our trust more into herbs over science. I mean, if it wasn’t for my job, I wouldn’t had gotten the poison that they call the vaccine. When the truth comes out that the vaccines had a bunch of side effects, the Big Pharma, medical professionals and the government would still deny the fact. Those who choose to believe them would also not admit it either.

During the Pandemic, I was taking elderberry syrup and ginger roots to keep healthy. When I had to get the poison, I was told to take real lemon juice to dilute the poison from my system. I was doing all I can to build up my immune system.

You see, our immune system is shot because of all the poison we put into our body.

Since I have been drinking almond milk, I can tell the difference in my body after drinking almond milk and regular milk. After drinking regular milk, I just feel blah.

I’m looking forward for Bobby Kennedy Jr to be the Secretary of the Department of Health. He’ll make some waves in the Big Pharma, the process food industry and the medical professionals. He might even bring down the cost of healthcare in the process.

The only true way to bring down the high cost of healthcare is get more people looking at eating healthier and organic. More people needs to look at herbs as medicines rather than trust their doctors and science. You do not to be drugged up but rather take more herbs instead.

SAY NO TO DRUGS AND SAY YES TO HERBS!!

Do you have an addiction? What are you addicted to? Do you have a compulsive disorder?

Depending on which assumptions are made, overall 12 months prevalence of an addiction among U.S. adults varies from 15% to 61%. Addiction is a common problem but help is available. From careful studies, scientists estimate a person’s genetics account for 40-60% of their risk. Each person has a mix of gene variations that influence addiction.

Men have a higher likelihood of becoming addicted to drugs. Those who live with mental health conditions, like bipolar disorder or depression are also prone to addiction.

The factors that leads up to addiction is peer pressure, physical and sexual abuse, early exposure to drugs, stress, and parental guidance can greatly affect a person’s likelihood to addiction.

ADDICTION: the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance, thing, or activity. You can see that there are many things people can be addicted to, not just alcohol and drugs.

COMPULSIVE DISORDER: It’s an excessive thoughts(obsessions) that leads to repetitive behaviors(compulsions). Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized by unreasonable thoughts and fears that lead to compulsive behaviors.

Those who grown up in an alcoholic family are prone to some forms of addictions. Those who had suffered some forms of abuse in their childhood are prone to some forms of addictions as well. It’s called the sins of the father passed down from one generation to the next. A person can break the cycle of addiction though.

An addiction is a cry for help.

Addiction runs rampant in my family from alcohol to overeating. There is some members in my family who also has a gambling addiction as well. My grandfather was an alcoholic and he had passed that addiction down to his children and grandchildren. My mother had a gambling addiction and because of that addiction, she had a huge credit card bill before she passed away. A prime example of what the addiction of alcohol though goes to my Uncle Frank. Not only was he an alcoholic, he also had a gambling addict as well. He passed that down to his children as well. Some of them got into drugs as well. Out of his children, 2 of them are doing better despite of the situation. One turned out to be a homosexual, because he was starving for affection that he never gotten growing up. He made more money when he retired but because of his addiction to such things as alcohol and gambling he didn’t had as much as my other uncle, who was lucky not to have that addiction. That uncle made a wise decision to invest and ended up doing better when he retired.

My family tends to be overweight because of our addiction to food.

Some people are sex addict. They either think about sex or constantly got to have it. Usually this addiction comes about because of sexual abuse that happened to them as a child.

Some people are workaholic as well. They put themselves into their work to avoid not have to focus on their issues.

Any forms of addictions will keep a person from dealing with their issues by avoiding it completely. A person can be addicted to overspending as well. They have a tough time in saving for a raining day.

It’s weird, but when I was in school, I didn’t much care for reading; but now I find myself addicted to buying books to read. The books I buy, I used as a guise to get further ideas for my blog. I have ordered lots of books on line through Amazon.

I’m not an alcoholic but I have a tendency to become one because of the addiction gene. Don’t get me wrong, I love having a drink once in a while. I also tend to overeat; even though since I have changed my diet I’m doing a little better at that.

I have suffered with depression as a child due to the fact that I was sexually molested as a child. I had got hooked on aspirin to cover up the pain of the my abuse. That’s what addiction would do; it would help cover up the pain a person may be going through.

There is hope out there for those who suffered with any forms of addiction. There is help for those who needs help. There is a program called Genesis to help those who has some forms of addictions as alcohol, drugs and nicotine or narcotics. You can break the cycle of abuse as well as the cycle of addiction by seeking help. Some addiction may not be as bad as others but all addictions are compulsive and could lead to something worse.

So if you have any addiction, I advise that you seek help immediately. Don’t let your addiction affect your family. Whatever your addiction, search it out to see what help is available. You can break the cycle!!

Tomorrow is great historical day for America. A day in which the American people take back America from the tyranny of our government. It’s Inauguration Day, and the second Inauguration of President Donald Trump. Some say it’s also America’s new Independence Day. In this blog, I will show the comparison between this day and the original Independence Day on July 4th.

This day should be a national holiday much like the 4th of July. Then again, we already celebrate this day as Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday.

It was a glorious day when Donald Trump won reelection back in November by a huge win for him and the Republican party. He got the most popular votes and a landslide victory ever since President Ronald Reagan in 1984. The only difference, Reagan won every states but Minnesota and Washington D.C. Donald Trump didn’t turned every states red; but he still won the most popular votes and was able to carried the electoral college.

How is this Independence Day similar to the 4th of July, I will try to explain to you in this blog. Let’s take a history lesson back prior to the Revolution War. The Colonist were upset with the tyranny of the King of England at that time; that they stormed the British ships at the Boston Harbor. It was under the guise of the Boston Tea Party.

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts on December 16, 1773. It was a pivotal moment in the American Revolution, symbolizing American Independence. The protest was in response to the Tea Act of 1773, which was passed to helped the financially struggling British East India, to sell tea from China in American colonies without paying taxes apart from those imposed by the Townshend Acts. The Sons of Liberty opposed the taxes in the Townshend Act as a violation of their rights. In response, the Sons of Liberty, some disguise as Native Americans, destroyed an entire shipment of tea sent by the East India Company.

Back in 2000, during the George W. Bush’s administration, we had another Tea Party movement in this country. The Tea Party movement was an American fiscally conservative political movement within the Republican Party that began in 2007, catapulted into the mainstream by Senator Rand Paul’s presidential campaign. The movement expanded in response to the policies of Democratic President Barak Obama and was a major factor in the 2010 wave election in which Republicans gained 63 House seats and took control of the U.S.House of Representatives.

The Participants in the movement called for lower taxes and for a reduction of the national debt and federal budget deficit through decreased government spending. The movement supported small government principles and opposed the Affordable Care Act. This movement was composed of a mixture of libertarian, right-wing populist, and conservative activism. It put a big divide in the Republican Party, as many establishment were not in support of the Tea Party Movement. You could say that was the reason for Donald Trump in 2016, and the fact that he went after the Rhino Republicans in Washington DC. It was still an uphill climb though.

The Republican Establishment wanted Jeb Bush in 2016; but the American people didn’t want another Bush in the White House. Any candidates that wasn’t a part of the Establishment polled better in the primary over Jeb Bush. Candidates such as Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, and Ben Carson did better with the American people.

When Obama ran for President in 2008, his campaign slogan was “Change we can believe in” and the chant was “Yes we can.” It goes to show that the American people was unhappy with the tyranny of our government, much like the Colonist were unhappy with the tyranny of the British government prior to the Revolution War.

The change Obama was looking at was different than what the American people actually wanted. Some would chanted, “Keep the change,” to President Obama. You can say that Obama started this change in our government; but his change was not actually what the American people wanted.

This past election was a prime example how the American people was upset with the tyranny of the government and the Democratic Party. Democracy is a system of government in which state power is vested in the people. It’s a way of governing which depends on the will of the people. Yet,it seems that the Democrats had forgotten about the people they were supposed to represent. They have become a part of the tyranny in our government. They have been behind forcing the American people to wear a mask during the Pandemic. They even had mandated that everyone is forced to get the Covid vaccine. They also was mandating the idea of eliminating all gas cars in favor or electric cars. They were trying to take away our freedom and our democracy from the people in the name of power. They felt that they knew better than the American people did; much like the King of England did prior to the Revolution War. Now that’s tyranny!

The Democrats even forced some prominent Democrats out, such Tulsi Gabbert, Bobby Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump,Elon Musk, and even Joe Manchin out, because they chose to disagree with Democrats. They didn’t want Bobby Kennedy Jr. to run against Joe Biden, thus they forced him to run as an Independent before he decided to support Donald Trump for President.

All through the election they claimed that Trump was bad for Democracy; when it was them that was hurting our Democracy. They didn’t want the American people to vote. When Joe Biden did poorly at his debate with Donald Trump in July of last year, they pulled a coup to forced him out of the race for President. They nominated Kamala Harris at their convention without having her goes through the proper channel way of letting the people decide. They even tried to had Trump arrested and charges filed against him. The more they went after Trump, the more the American people came out in favor of him. Everything they did to stop the Trump’s train just blew up in their face. The Democrat party is now a shamble worse than the Republicans was when the Tea Party movement came about.

With Donald Trump’s second term approaching, he has appointed people for his cabinet to help drain the swamp in Washington. He created the department of DOGE to cut the wasteful spending of our government. I believe that our forefathers and Ronald Reagan would be proud of. With Bobby Kennedy Jr.in charge of the Department of Health, the Big Pharma, the process food industry, and the medical professions are scared, and they should be. I believe that President John F.Kennedy and Robert Kennedy Sr.would be proud of Bobby Kennedy Jr. Even Pete Hegseth being charge of the Department of Defense would be very good to get the Woke out of our military.

I hope that you can see the comparison between the original Independence Day and our new Independence Day. It was all about saving our democracy by going after the tyranny of our government. It will be a party in the USA tomorrow as America celebrate the new Independence Day. All in favor in making this a National Holiday, please comment below or just like.

Have you ever been frustrated by a boss who wouldn’t lead? You’re not alone with that.

I will show how you can not let a bad boss keep you from being successful. It will be off the book, “How to lead when your boss can’t or won’t,” by John C. Maxwell. John Maxwell has been called the #1 leader in business by the AMA and the world’s most influential leadership expert. He unveils the keys to successfully navigating the challenges of working for an ineffective leader. He teaches how to lead yourself so that you’re positioned to be successful. He also shows how to take the high road, avoid landmines that could make your situation worse, work with your boss to get things done. You don’t need to be the boss or have a great boss to be successful.

I have had some horrible bosses and I also had some good bosses. Have you ever had a horrible boss? What is a horrible boss?

You all heard of the movie, Horrible Bosses, in which workers would like nothing better than to grind their oppressive employers into dirt. Quitting their jobs is not an option.

Have you ever felt like quitting your job because of a horrible boss?

When there is a high turnover rate at a place of employment, take a look at the reason why. Some bosses don’t seem to understand that they may be a reason for the high turnover rate. It’s not always the pay. Sometimes, some bosses can be jerks.

Are you working somewhere in the middle of an organization with a boss who can’t or won’t lead? Do you have a boss who would sit on his lazy ass and barked orders at you and treat you like the scum of the earth? Can you talk to your boss or are they hard to talk too?

Everything rises and falls on leadership. If you don’t believe it, just put together a group of people without a leader and watch them. They will drift. When there is no good leader directing a team, running a department, leading an organization, or heading a family, then the following results are inevitable. You are walking on eggshells around horrible bosses. Decisions are delayed. Agendas are multiplied. Conflicts are extended.

Morale becomes low. When leaders are not present or not leading, people often lose hope and morale plummets. That’s as bad as getting low pay for the job you do. You hate getting up to go to work.

Production is reduced. Strong leaders are creative in finding ways to help others become productive. Sometimes it means laying out a challenge. Sometimes it means giving people training. Sometimes it means encouraging others or putting up incentives.

Success is difficult. All organizations need leaders at every level in order to be successful.

Has your leader neglected to communicate the vision? Is your leader proposing a vision that doesn’t align or contribute to the vision of the organization?

That’s one of the worst things that happens when bosses don’t lead properly.

Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way.” A similar idea can be expressed about leaders.

When I worked at the Fargo Country Club, it was like a dysfunctional family. The executive chef would right with the employee. When we’re not working, we would hang out having fun. It was hard to quit because you enjoyed the people and the boss. At the same time, the pay and benefits were terrible, and you had to think about moving forward to better yourself.

Insecure leaders think everything is about themselves, resulting in them being self-centered. When leaders are insecure, they often project that insecurity down to the people below them.

Incompetent leaders are ineffective and they often stay that way. They don’t see themselves as being the problems for the high turnover rate.

A Self-centered leaders attempt to advance at the expense of everyone around them.

When people follow a chameleon leader, they never know how he will react. Thus, the employees will be walking on eggshells at work. They will call in often sick to work just because they don’t feel like going it because they fear the idea of working with a jerk.

Have you ever worked for someone who wants to be in the middle of everything you do? They would create a long list of chores to have you do and complete before you leave for the day. They will also watch over you like a hawk. They are constantly watching over your shoulders.

They create tension and confusion in the workplace.

Have you ever noticed the level of tension you experience on the job? If you worked under a horrible boss, the tension is rather high.

Everyone needs to be appreciate and if there is a lack of appreciation; it makes a rather poor working environment.

Have you ever worked with people who didn’t lead themselves well?

Have you ever heard someone at work say that you have an attitude? They just doesn’t realize that they are the reasons for the attitudes. If you’re treated like slaves and not respected, you become very upset. You would want to say, like the movie, “The Help,” “eat my shit!” Or as Flo from the series, “Alice,” “Kiss my grit!”

I had one manager at Kmart, that was a horrible boss. It was almost like he wasn’t very happy at his job. Once he retired and came in, he seems to be happier. I noticed it and commented on that. It goes to show that some people may have been pushed in doing something they really are not into.

Can you talk with your boss or do you find it difficult? Where I worked now, I had a manager who would always have his office door shut so that he wouldn’t be disturbed. He even had his office door locked when he’s not there. There was a joke that states, “please do not disturb sleeping beauty.” You find it very difficult to talk to him, you walked on eggshells when he was there, when he’s not in, the employees are much happier and productive. He didn’t understand that he was the reason for a high turnover.

Then there was one of the owner of Quality Bakery, who treated my mother horrible. My mother made excuses. She would say things like, “they paid for my insurance,or that he was a friend.” He took advantage of my mother. His name was Peter Fendt and he should be ashamed of himself for how he treated my mother. If I ever ran into him, I would give him a piece of my mind. Whenever he was mad at his wife or father, he would take it out on the employees.

I also have good bosses. Bosses who would worked alongside you, bosses that you can talked with. I really enjoy working at the Fargo Dome; because the atmosphere is good to work in. When the time come for me to retire,I would probably continue working there part time just to keep myself busy.

Back where I’m working now, where we had a horrible manager, well that manager is finally gone. We have a new manager. Before the bad manager left, he thought that the new manager would be worse than him, because he couldn’t see himself at fault. Anyway, the atmosphere is better now. We are not walking on eggshells, you can talked to the manager and the supervisor. With the old manager, if you were sick, he would have you still come into work anyway. It was almost like he was afraid if you didn’t showed up, he would actually had to do some real work. With our new manager,if we’re sick, they would rather have us stay home instead of coming to work sick.

When you hear of Elon Musk, what is your reaction toward him? What is your opinion about him? How do you feel about him?

When I first heard of Elon Musk, I didn’t much care for him. I had the same view of him as I had of Donald Trump. But like Donald Trump, Elon Musk had a way to grow on a person.

In this blog, I will give you a biography about Elon Musk and show how my view toward him had changed.

Elon Musk is 53 years old. He’s a businessman known for his key roles in the space company Space X and the automotive company Tesla. He also just last year bought Twitter and renamed it X. He was born in Pretoria, South Africa to Errol and Maye Musk. He was born on June 28, 1971. His nationality is American,Canadian, and South African. His net worth is $424.9 billion US dollars. He graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Science in 1997.

Elon Musk is a member of the wealthy South African Musk family. At 18, he immigrated to Canada, acquiring its citizenship through his mother. In 1995, he moved to California. He acquired PayPal for $1.5 billion.

In 2004, Musk was an early investor in electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors, providing most of the initial financing and assuming the position of the company’s chairman. He helped create SolarCity, a solar energy company that was acquired by Tesla in 2016 and became Tesla Energy. In 2013, he proposed a hyperloop high speed vactrain transportation system. In 2015, he co-founded OpenAI, a nonprofit artificial Intelligence research company. In 2022, he acquired Twitter for $44 billion, merged the company into his newly created X Corp and rebranded the service as X the following year.

As you can see, Elon Musk is a busy wealthy man; and some say that he is too smart for his own good, a genius. He can come across as being arrogant to the common man. Because of his arrogance.

Elon Musk’s action and expressed views have made him a polarizing figure. He has been criticized for making unscientific and misleading statements, including Covid-19 misinformation, affirming antisemitic and transphobic comments, and promoting conspiracy theories. His ownership of Twitter has been controversial because of large employees layoffs, an increase in posts containing hate speech, misinformation and disinformation on the service, and changes to service features, including verification. The reason for him buying Twitter and changing it to X,is because he is believer in free speech. He felt that Twitter was censoring free speech from anyone on the right.

Now I wasn’t a big fan of Elon Musk at first. But once he went about and purchased Twitter under the guise of free speech, I soon started liking him. I’m a supporter of free speech myself.

Freedom of Speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction. It’s one of our Constitution’s Rights.

Yet those on the Left like the Democrats and fake mainstream news media were infringing on our freedom of speech because they didn’t like what was being said. Even such Social Media as the old Twitter and Facebook were censoring anyone who they felt was posting misinformation, or something they disagree with such as CoVid information and Hunter Biden’s briefcase. In other words, if you don’t agree with them, you were guilty of misinformation and were quickly cancelled from Facebook. Much like they were doing in the book, “1984.” If they were doing that, just think they could very easily do that to me because they do not like what I post in my blog. Luckily, my blog isn’t real big yet;otherwise, I could also faced being cancelled by those on the Left.

Elon Musk was once a Democrat but got smart and left the party and endorsed Donald Trump for President in this past election. He was one of the Democrats who had gotten smart and left the party in support of Donald Trump. He was joined by Bobby Kennedy Jr and Tulsi Gabbert as well.

Elon Musk, along with Vivek Ramaswamy will co-lead his planned Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), advisory board; which is tasked with removing regulations in order to reduce expenditures and increase government efficiency. I believe that our forefathers would be all for this. I also believe that both President Reagan and President John F. Kennedy would also be for it as well. Yet there are those on the Left and the Rhino Republicans who are against this. DOGE will eliminate wasteful spending by our corrupt government. It could even cut taxes as well. I’m looking forward to Trump’s second term as President and to see what DOGE can do to cut wasteful spending in our government.

The moment Elon Musk came out in support of free speech and bought Twitter, I became a supporter of him. Whereas, before I felt that he had a big ego about himself being so damn rich and smarter than everyone else.

I don’t know what to think about AI. But if AI wants my day job, they can have it. There’s still some jobs out there that AI probably won’t be able to take quite yet though. James Cameron made a prediction about AI with his movie,”The Terminator.” I won’t go into too much with AI in this blog until I get more information.

On Elon Musk comments on transphobic, my view had changed because of getting to know someone who is a transgender and gay. As long as they are not hurting anyone, can’t we just let them be themselves. Can’t we just learn to accept them as they are? Believe me, I’m doing that now that I know the whole story.

I’m not big on electric cars being push onto everyday American citizens. For one, not everyone can afford them. They cannot work in the winter, especially when the temperature gets way below zero wind chill. I already did a blog on electric cars.

I do believe in solar energy and know people who built solar houses. I don’t know if I would want one though. Maybe I need more information on solar energy. If it’s anything like windmill, you can forget of me being on board. As I wrote in previous blog on windmill, windmill does more harms to the environment. They kill and/or harm wildlife around them. They are an eyesore as well.

This is my view on Elon Musk. I agree with some of what he stands for and disagree with some. What do you agree with? I would like to hear from you in the comment below. I promise you that I will not censor you. You are entitle to your opinions just as I am. It’s our god-given freedom of speech.

There’s a battle for our minds and the minds of our children and young people. This blog will be based off the book, “Battle for the American Mind” by Pete Hegseth. In this book, he talks about uprooting century of miseducation of our youths. The American people came to this realization while during the Pandemic when schools were shut down and classes was done online. For once, parents were able to actually see what was being taught to their kids in school. Our education system was able to pull a fast one over the parents up to then. Now that they know what is being taught in our schools, they are coming up against the school boards in protest. By taking on the school boards, parents are labeled “Domestic Terrorist by the school boards, President Joe Biden, the Democrats and our Leftist news media.

Behind a smoke screen of preparing students for the new industrial economy, early Progressives had political control in mind. America’s original schools didn’t just make kids memorize facts or learn skills; they taught them to think freely and arrive at wisdom. They assigned the classics, inspired love of God and country, and raised future citizens who changed the world forever.

Today, after 16,000 hours of K-12 indoctrination, our kids come out of government schools hating America. They roll their eyes at religion and disdain our history. We spend more money on education than ever, but kids can barely read and write-let alone reason with discernment. Kids are bored and aimless, flailing for purpose in a system that says racial and gender identity are everything.

Unless we undo that foundational damage, nothing we do in public schools will change our course toward tyranny and thought control. It’s very similar to the book, “1984,” where they talked about the thought police will have you arrested if you dare think against them and the government. It’s also similar to what Adolf Hitler was doing during his reign of terror during World War 2. The Nazi was indoctrinating young boys for their own political gain, turning them against their parents.

The most evident revelation from this development was the theory our kids have been taught about race in American classroom. Seemingly out of nowhere-and accelerated after the Black Lives Matters riots in the summer of 2020-concepts like white privilege and systemic racism and even a new founding date for America, the year 1619, were splashed across computer screens all over America. Critical Race Theory had fully arrived, often masked as “Diversity,Equity, and Inclusion,” along with a full attempt to redefine gender, infuse climate fatalism, and turn our children into activists.

The problem is often not even individual schools or school boards; in fact, many parents, teachers, and administrators seem numb. At least not until the schools were shut down because of Covid, when parents were able to finally get a taste what was being taught in our schools.

The blame for the problems in America, and rightfully so, was on Leftism…fed by worshipping concepts like multiculturalism, socialism, genderism, secularism, and other dangerous “ism”.

The condemnation of dissent may look different-North Korea prefers concentration camps. America prefers cancellation, marginalization, and labeling-but the reality is the same. America’s elites are hell bent on changing the landscape in America. In America today, private thoughts are not allowed, just like in the book, “1984.”

When I was in school, we would stand and say the Pledge of Allegiance out of respect for America. Now our kids don’t do that in our public schools.

People of faith are tough, hardworking and fiercely protective of their God given freedoms. Yet the system is stacked against them.

America’s instruments of media,Hollywood, corporate boardrooms, and government bureaucracies, and even the new “woke” military have taken a turn toward an unrecognizable America, full of censorship.

They rather dumb it down; so not to offend anyone.

Parents today need to continue to stay informed, involved and active in asking questions, researching on their own and fighting for their kids rights. It’s time to go back teaching the basics: history, math, reading, science. Kids today are not taught cursive writing in schools anymore.

It’s not enough to yell at the school board when they erase names of holidays, change the gender designation on bathrooms, force our young, healthy kids to wear masks and advance critical race Theory. They are even forcing the use of pronouns for gender recognition. They are not letting kids be themselves; thus making some confused. Kids need to be kids without being push into something they may not be. At the same time they need to be themselves without anyone harassing them because they are different.

Marxist teachers colleges pump out ideological teachers, left-wing teachers unions reign supreme, PTAs are neutered, school boards scared fully “Woke.”

How did the Left get in such a dominant position? Right underneath our noses, Progressives in America quietly labored to gain control over an even more powerful set of commanding heights.

People should be asking themselves, what elementary, middle, and high school is teaching Critical Race Theory and why they are spinning false narratives?

It’s not about racism or equality, or even gender. It’s about deconstructing anything and everything that reflects not just the founding principles of America, but the foundations of our families and our faith. It’s about control of thought and behavior. At the same time, we must not condemn someone because we do not approve of their lifestyle choices and the way they dress. Both sides must learn to accept it and get to know the individual instead.

Our education had stolen the minds of our kids, and they knew exactly what they needed to remove in order to make it happen.

As our culture sinks deeper into an identity crisis, suicide rates climb, and families and churches shrink, our very survival requires a better way.

Battle for the American Mind is more than a book; it’s a field guide for remaking schools in the United States. We’ve ceded our kids’minds to the Left for far too long. Pete Hegseth would be good to steer our military as the Department of Defense in the right direction.

Even though, I have read this book, I recently came to different realization on gender confusion. Both sides have to come to an understanding of the individual and not try to force people to be someone they are not. We have to learn to accept people as they are;even if we may not approve of their lifestyle. Don’t try to change someone into someone they are not. It would just cause further damage in their psyche. It doesn’t matter what side of the fence you are on.

Let us love and accept one another without judgement. We are all God’s children and God does not make junk.

It’s that time of year again!! There’s snow on the ground and Christmas lights are up and for all to see. Christmas Day is 2 days away on the 25th of this month. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Are you ready for Christmas?

If you’re a last minute shopper, you have no one to blame but yourself for procrastinating. You had since November 1st to get your Christmas shopping done, gifts bought and wrapped.

Growing up, my step-dad would wait until the day before Christmas Eve to get the Christmas tree. We then would decorate the tree with all the pretty Christmas lights and decorations; not just on the tree either.

Eventually, my mother grew tired of fighting with him to go and get the tree; so she ended up buying an artificial tree.

This time of year the stores and restaurants are extremely busy with shoppers. People just goes nuts for Christmas. They even would maxed out their credit cards in shopping for the perfect gift for someone.

The stores and homes are beautifully decorated all out for Christmas. It’s one of the beautiful sites to see this time of year at night while taking a drive to look at all the pretty Christmas decorations and lights.

It could be romantic if a guy take his girlfriend or wife out for a sleigh ride. Make you sure you have a cup of hot chocolate to sip on and warm up your hands as well. Some men may use this time to propose to their girlfriend; because it’s very romantic, sitting in the sleigh with your sweetie looking at Christmas lights as she is snuggling up close to you to keep warm.

As the song, “Let it Snow,”goes Oh the weather outside is frightful but the fire is so delightful and since we’ve no place to go let it Snow, let it snow, let is snow.

There are carolers on practically every street corners singing Christmas songs wishing everyone Merry Christmas.

You even see the bell ringer from Salvation Army ringing the bells in front of the stores. Some stores will let them be inside where it’s warm; but most stores have them standing outside in the cold. Some of them are dressed as Santa Clause.

Speaking of Santa, he is dressed in red suit and have a white beard. Here comes Santa Clause, right down Santa Clause lane.

Santa Clause is coming to town. He got a list and checking twice to see who has been naughty or nice. So be nice for goodness sake.

My mother’s favorite Christmas song was “I saw Mommy kissing Santa Clause.” She would always sing that song. Her sister, Aunt Rosella love the song, “Grandma got run over by a reindeer”

This time of year is also a time that we would gained a lot of weights because of all the good Christmas cookies. There’s lots of baking going on this time of year. I sure do like those Christmas cookies, baby. They are a special treat, the more she bakes, the more I eat.

Not only do people decorate their homes for Christmas, there are some who send outs Christmas cards. Some cards will have a long letter stating how their their year went. But with e-mails prominent, there are less cards going out.

Families will get together this time of year as well. Probably not much this year when a person would watch YouTube and/or Twitter seeing some of the crazy people upset since the election.

My mother was big on get-together for Christmas. When she cooked, there was always a feast. if you go hungry, it’s your own damn fault. My folks are gone now, but the memories still linger in our minds. This can be a depressing time because of loves being no longer with us.

That’s probably the only good things about being in the cities during Christmas. As you are out and about this Christmas looking at all the pretty decorations, take time to reflect on the marvel and beauty of the seasons. Put a little joy and Christmas spirit in your heart. Then you’ll see how people just go nuts for Christmas.

Merry Christmas from the family one for all, I wish you a Merry Christmas!!
